Probably large image, but I'm on my phone. Remnants of lunch just now. Grilled octopus, shrimp skewers, clams, feta and olives, Greek salad, Greek sardines.

I copied the wrong link twice. I was having A LOT of issues.
Dude that looks delicious. That cheese looks bonkers (except for the fucking olives)
It was delicious. I take no credit for it. My Greek friend whose parents' make the Greek easter meals made it all.
The Greek know their shit.
All I see is bitches
Figured I'd post this here.
We love looooooove Korean BBQ. Especially my mom, but restaurants don't exist where she lives. Friend of mine introduced me to this site:
http://www.maangchi.com/
And we decided to try to make it at home because the ingredients are something my mom could get. Food was awesome. In particular, we made bulgogi:

And the potato salad:

(I added shredded carrots to the potato salad, a must imo.)
I don't have any fancy pics, but they did come out great. We wanted to make kimchi from scratch, too, but the brining would take too long. We may still make it while she's here, just it was too short notice for today.
Gonna take her to a restaurant sometime this week or next for her to try the various meats to see what other recipes she wants to try. Glad, we found something she could make herself!
I cook quite a bit of korean food, but had never had proper galbi until this weekend. So, so good. I ate it all before I got a picture.
If you're making bulgogi, and want really thin slices, you can put the steak in the freezer for an hour or so. When you take it out and slice it, it'll be easier to get those nice thin bits since the steak will be firm. Also need to make sure you're using a nice sharp knife.
I just have my butcher do it on his handy-dandy slicer machine. Pick out a nice steak and have him cut it 1/8" thick against the grain.
That works as well. Or if you own your own deli slicer you could use that. My cousin has his own deli slicer for making beef jerky among other things.
First run at Schaller's Stube. Schaller Double.

My buddy runs that place. Shit is delicious.
Yeah you said that so I went over there.
Any suggestions next time I go over there as far as what to order? All the specials sounded good tbh. Was thinking of getting the Saigon next time.
Try em all.
The Reuben and the Berlin wall are top tier.
You can also build your own.
bruhhh, my local asian mart just got these #6 and #1 top instant ramen of all time!
anyone ever made tamago kake gohan? finally tried it out last night... omg so good.
basically just put some rice in a bowl and pour a raw egg on top. season with whatever (I use soy sauce, sesame seeds, scallions) and whip it into a frothy mess of deliciousness.
Yep. People thinks it's gross but holy fuck I love raw eggs.
