Nom
Dole your meal sounds good but it looks like cow vomit lol.
No pictures because I'm at work but I made a spicy mexican lasagna type meal.
1 small can of green chilis
1 can of enchilada sauce
1 bag of mexican shredded cheese(or whatever cheese you want, I've used colby jack before and loved it.)
1 package flour tortillas(you can also use lasagna noodles if you want to.)
1 can refried beans
1 can black beans
3 - 4 boneless chicken breasts OR ground beef
chili powder
cayenne pepper
I fully cook the chicken breasts as the first step.
Cook the refried beans and black beans separately.
Mix together the cayenne pepper, chili powder, and enchilada sauce, cook
Spray your casserole dish with non stick crap
1. Lay out the flour tortillas on in the casserole dish making sure to cover all of the base.
2. Shred the chicken breasts
3. Pour half of the pepper, powder, enchilada sauce onto the chicken, mix them together.
4. Spread chicken and green chilies on 1st layer of tortillas.
5. Cover chicken with a 2nd layer of tortillas.
6. Spread refried beans/black beans on 2nd layer of tortillas.
7. Cover with 3rd layer of tortillas.
8. Pour remaining sauce on 3rd layer of tortillas.
9. Spread cheese(as much as you want) on the top of the casserole.
10. Cook at 400 degrees for about 18 - 22 minutes.
Enjoy.
well since i posted cow vomit, how about some cow shit too?
just made Chili a la Dole
Looks good. My sister has a wicked recipe that she has won some chili cook offs with. I'll see if I can pry it away from her to post.
i'll post mine in a few hours after i make some french fries and it has sex in the pot for a while. it's too soupy right now to brag about.
i will say that i added two whole diced habaneros(seeds and all) and used spicy italian sausage, ground beef, and chili paste to name a few things.
I need a good recipe for poutine. I've never made it but I'm thinking about doing so this week.
make your own cheese curds or it will be horrible.
http://www.cheesemaking.com/Recipe_CheeseCurds.html
i also recommend using steak fries.
Geez. I might be scrapping the poutine lol.
Bitch, time for the razzel dazzel, when i get it off the grill.
I got some chicken the on thursday and saved the bones. Made stock from them today (simmered the bones in water for like 3 hours). After that:
* Tossed in some salt "to taste"
* Random Thyme attack
* Onion
* 2 Shallots
Let that bubble for a while.
* Dump in half a package of rice noodles
Wait a few minutes
* Dump in the left over chicken meat
Wait for it to warm up
"Ladle" it into my bowl and top it with more thyme and some parsley. All of this is done with a shitty tiny european stovetop and one pot. My ladle is a metal cup.
Oh yeah, it was good.
Startin to look like chili now.
added another can of beans and half a cup of beef broth after i took the pic
Going to hijack this for a brief moment.
Depending on timezone, in 10 minutes or 3 hours, tonight is the LAST new airing of Good Eats, a 1 hour special regarding chocolate.
Farewell Mr. Brown
I'll download it and add it to my collection :D
How can I filter out the replies in this thread that contain the words "cream cheese," "ranch," "mayonaise," or "sour cream?"
Made some Black Angus burgers last night using plain Texas Toast as the buns. Put an egg on each one, sunny side up, two slices of bacon, a slice of pepper jack cheese, and a slice of American cheese. Was awesome. But I forgot to take a picture of it >.>
Sounds amazing.
You using regular bacon or bacon 2.0 (aka slab bacon)?

Basic slab bacon recipe - http://www.mixph.com/2007/10/how-to-...lab-bacon.html
I've made it a few times, had mixed results based on duration of curing.
Just used regular bacon. I never got too into slab bacon. I've bought it a few times where it was pretty much ready to go. But never actually tried to cure it myself.
Since it has been mentioned in pretty much every food thread worth reading:
