What's the deal with Chronoscrolls?

There's a link to another faq there too.
Seems like a... uh... unique? way of dealing with gold sellers...
Aparently has been used before with EVE's plex system, supossedly with good results.
In a nutshell, the system permits RMTing in an attempt to make the practice less damaging for the game.
In an ideal gaming enviroment, buying gold outside of the game would be impossible, but after years of gaming I guess we can all agree that this will never happen. Gold will be sold and gold will be bought.
So the system accepts this as fact and tries to address the side effects of RMTing: inflation, botting, account hacking and stealing, account fraud.
The idea is that it becomes less appealing for 3rd party shaddy companies to invest in farming gold within the game because they now have to compete with a legal market that has no risk asociated to it.
It doesn't stop people from buying their way to the top, but it does make it so that such an action doesn't cause as much inflation because the money comes directly from players which are part of the economic game system, unlike the RMT farmers which hoard the generated money until someone buys it.
And I guess that if you are rich enough in-game it allows you to play for free, which is kind of a plus.
This is not meant to completely remove RMT from the game. Nothing will ever do that.
This simply means you can control the price on gold actually being sold by the RMT while being able to purchase gold legally, all while EME makes a small profit out of it. I think it's genius really. Worked really well on EVE, as Shassira mentioned.
I know I will be buying those every month if I'm not broke. One thing I'm really excited to see happen.
Just hope they don't get ridiculously expensive...
Silly question
when trading items that stack like potions/fires
how the hell do you trade 1 or 2 items. And not ALL of them?
Shift.
fkin thank you
Is there any streaming software out there that is free? I have some friends who want to see Tera in action, but I can't seem to find anything that is free. I tried rolling through Corredio's streaming walkthrough here on BG, but it requires VAC which, unless you pay for it you hear "Trial" said every 3sec. I know others use xsplit but I don't want to pay for something I'm going to use once for maybe a few hours this weekend.
http://www.xsplit.com/
"is now in public beta" try it supposedly its free if you use the feedback or what ever idk. never used it my friends have
says you have to have a registered account atleast...
I have an account, but the "add game" feature is what i was clicking on and getting prompted to pay for it. Don't need that function. Just needed to create a broadcast and air it and it works fine. Informational videos are there for a reason I guess lol....
add game feature automatically captures a game feed. you can just use the capture desktop feature to stream though it might use a bit more cpu but if you are going to stream tera, you'd probably have a beefy PC anyway. Seems like you figured it out nevertheless.
How are custom titles set? I assume its a guild master option but I couldn't figure out how ><;
You press G and it's right there.
