Playing as Connor is fucking amazing. The moment you're able to start climbing trees, a ton of new ways to approach the game open up, it's ridiculous. The more I play this game the more I don't understand the reviews I've read about it lately.

It's looking like this is going to top AC2 as my favorite in the franchise by leaps and bounds.

Are people actually liking this new control scheme better than the previous games'? I'm finding it difficult to get used to... maybe I'll grow into it, as I'm currently only in the young-Connor part still.

I must've looked away for the two seconds where it told you how to shoot the gun. Took me a good 15+ minutes to figure that shit out while trying random button combos. Not a fan of these controls at all.

I think they over simplified them a bit. I keep whistling around a corner instead of ripping posters down. Not sure why they have so many actions assigned to the same button. And do I really have to break combat stance in order to drop a musket that I pick up? B button is everything button.

My game froze at the point were you buy guns and find officers...

Cant get past it, only a white screen.

Edit: i cant watch that CS, can someone spoiler what happened? The guy on the ship said "What the hell was that about?" And Connor said "The old man is a Templar, but who was at other guy with him". Game freeze whenever I try and watch the CS, so I had to skip it...

My game managed to freeze before I even got to start the game (similar to yours in that I was traversing menus). Thankfully I haven't had any issues since; yikes.

I have to say that I'm getting pretty annoyed with the new controls. Also, the mission system is fucking annoying as hell. Maybe it's because they got us used to a very straight-forward way to approach missions in the Ezio Trilogy, but I dunno...
Also, other than the little Haytham thingy, the story has been rather dull so far. Maybe it's because I'm still early on, but I'm getting tired of doing the SAME fucking thing in every AC game... we know how to get notoriety down already! Also, what's with all these damn fetching quests in sequence 5? I really hope the story picks up, and that means Desmond's included.... other than that one scene with his dad after the 2nd sequence, NOTHING... really? This is what they consider "more Desmond time"?

Trudging through the first 5 hours of the game has been an absolute chore. I haven't even gotten my assassin robes yet and I keep taking extended breaks to break the monotony. I'm really trying to like ACIII but it's just so goddamn slow.

I still don't have any idea WHY Connor got on this damn boat to begin with.... but whatever. This story is making no sense anyways. -_-

gotcha, I guess I wasn't paying much attention to that cutscene right before you go fetch the wood.

Also, I suggest you people start experimenting with the area Desmond and co. are in... there are some very interesting cutscenes with Juno and a backstory as to what Desmond actually saw before he stabbed Lucy in Brotherhood. I guess they finally wrapped her death nicely.

Holy shit this game is buggy. I've had battles ending prematurely (10 guys still on screen but the cutscene still triggers mid fight? wtf?) to Camera being lower than it should be, tonnes of animation bugs, AI acting weird and getting stuck on random things and honestly its very disheartening. I've dealt with buggy games before but it seems like there's always a lot of bugs present in every sequence. On Ps3 btw.
