I never played got around to playing through revelations. Should I bother before playing this?

Yeah it's about a 7-8, worth playing if you're a hardcore (but the ending will piss you off), worth waiting for otherwise.

It just really looks that awful. Game hasn't looked the same since AC 1&2. 3D made Revelations tolerable but they don't get a pass on this one.

I honestly don't care about the graphics. They aren't omg amazing, but they aren't terrible. So far the story to me is compelling and there is a ton to do while at the same to to me is not boring, which is something I found to be untrue about revelations. I'm loving every minute of it though I will agree that there are a ton of bugs and the UI kinda blows.

Im only on Sequence 5 atm but game seems fine to me. Not sure what the problem is.

Was doing a homestead mission and the game just froze on me...

I just turned down the backlight to 0 on my sony 3d display and it made a HUGE difference. Otherwise the game is incredibly bright with washed out colors. Are backlights on LEDs generally not great for gaming?

Final opinion, this game feels like Tanaka tried to not finish it. So much lack of storytelling and bugs.

Wonder how much it is. I own all of them already but id trade them all in to get that for cheaper since it has all the DLC with it it seems.

Considering I only own #2 now, I'd consider the Anthology if it was about $100-120.

Disappointing to hear that 3 sucks. Was gonna put it on my Christmas lists.

Maybe Dishonored I guess.

I wouldn't say it sucks. It aims high, and it gets there at times, but you cant help but notice the flaws when it's so ambitious.

I definitely agree with Ryko, it does improve "a few sequences in" as well, big time. In my opinion anyway. It seemed like a lot of the negative things I've seen posted on here/GAF/a few random articles over the past few days were more about the start of the game than all of it general. There are flaws, I'm not saying there aren't.

AC2 & Brotherhood are probably my favorite part of the series as of right now.

I'm definitely enjoying the game, but I agree that it was probably too ambitious. They tried to add so many different side quests/missions/games, and just a lot more variety to the gameplay. It's all there, but none of it is polished.

I don't like Connor as a character at all though. Boring.

One thing I hate hate hate about open world games is that they stagger game content as you play through the story. I want to do homestead missions, craft stuff, make new items, improve what I have, build new weapons, etc.

But I'm starting to find out that the in game economy, assassin side missions, etc. has no purpose. How disappointing.

I was talking to a coworker about this and we both agreed that the game felt like it needed 4-6 months of polish for it to get up to level of ACII. Still having fun with the game, but there's just enough little things wrong that are keeping it from being my favorite of the series.

I never understood the point of weapons in any of the games other than for trophies. I've never once, in any of the games, bought more than the cheapest version of each "class". And even then, I've never used anything but the standard hidden blade anyway. I only bothered buying them at the end for completion sake.

This time around, I didn't even bother buying any weapons. I'll buy them all at the end just in case there's a trophy for it.

I'm annoyed that the dagger attack animation is the same as the axe. The motion where he hacks the upper shoulder looks particularly stupid.
