Main stage looks fucking terrible, 2nd stage looks confused as fuck (I'm sure there are going to be a lot of people there because Hellyeah and Symphony X). Everything else looks great, too bad it's in France.

The Hellfest is the french "spinoff" of the Graspop. Graspop is an old belgian Metal fest (25+ years, IIRC), Hellfest is much more recent.

The line-up is always very similar; only swapped around (some bands do Graspop on saturday, Hellfest on sunday; some do the opposite).

Anyway, every year both are less and less Metal and more and more nu/-core/WTF (Kiss as headliner? Really?), culminating in the (relatively) shitty lineups of this year.
Gone are the days when you could see Behemoth, Amon Amarth, Grave Digger and Slayer in a single day, it would seem.
Edit: actually, the lineups don't look very similar this year. Guess they're distancing themselves.

Hell, even Wacken (near Berlin) isn't as good as usual (still sold out long ago, though), and that's the fucking reference.

The Altar, The Temple, and The Valley stages look amazing. There is some shit on them (CoF, God Seed, Arch Enemy, Six Feet Under, namely), but overall those are some amazing line-ups better than most metal-focused fests.
