nice
looks good if real
http://www.theverge.com/gaming/2012/...2-release-dateCall of Duty: Black Ops 2 is real, and it's coming November 13th, 2012 according to Target.
IGN acquired a pre-order card for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, which shows the date listed above. We contacted a number of local Targets to try and verify the card's existence, and one location confirmed that the game will be available for pre-order in-store starting May 2nd. Another store's clerk said they "got the cards in today."
The card, which lists Black Ops 2 for an Xbox 360 and PS3 release, shows the date alongside a caveat explaining that the game's release date is "subject to change."
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has been the subject of quite a bit of speculation in the past few weeks. A retail leak and slowly updating teaser site doling out hints that the next Call of Duty title — which will be revealed May 1st — will be a follow-up to Treyarch's last stab at the franchise. One hint (the word "Tacitus") led some investigators to believe the title was tied to the solar eclipse, reinforcing the game's November 13th launch date.
Game modes look fine, but those perks..... what the hell are they doing.
could easily be real, MW3 had a release similar to this months and months before release which accurately described perks and kill streaks pretty accurately if i remember correctly.
i hope diving isnt a perk, i love it too much to not waste a slot on it
diving off the sniper rock in jungle with lightweight pro on was so fun
(not my vid)
http://mp1st.com/2012/04/30/a-better...-2-poster-boy/At last, we’ve managed to get a good look at the blurred poster boy that we’ve seen on many of the leaked Black Ops 2 promotional posters while yet another piece of Black Ops 2 intel hits the web.
Our friend, MrRoflWaffles, has recently sent in this picture, originally from KingJamesBallin, giving us a very clear shot of the poster boy found on many pieces of Black Ops 2′s promotional material:

Some very interesting things to note:
The Oakley military gloves he is wearing strongly suggest a contemporary setting for Black Ops 2.
The protection on his forearms isn’t your every-day, standard military armor either. Again, this suggests an either contemporary or futuristic setting.
The weapon he is holding, which we have yet to learn the name of yet, also looks rather high-tech with many attachment rails.
If you haven’t yet, check out yesterday’s Black Ops 2 voice actor tease and image reveal.
On to what the official Call of Duty website has for us today. We’re only a day away from the official May 1st reveal of Black Ops 2 but Treyarch has not finished having their fun yet. Another image teases us with a shot of a character’s arm who seems to be somewhat aged, also given away by the medals of distinction hung on the wall in front of him. Could it be a returning character from the original Black Ops?

Again, thanks, MrRoflWaffles, for the image and insight.

Well, the Black Ops were always supposed to have far more advanced weaponry than just your average grunt. I don't really see it being set too far in the future from the original. It would be cool, though!
not sure where on the site it is but somewhere apparently says:
"Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare. Pre-order today."
right under the "reveal" live on right hand side
oh lol. when the vid didn't work i just closed the window. herp derp.
supposedly a few gamestop employees have been fired for talking about the announcement being made before the announcement was made.... Really Gamestop, as if it was a big fucking secret another COD was coming out...
well to be fair, Activision may have been putting pressure on them. With how much CoD sells I can understand gamestop wanting to not piss them off. Shit still sucks obviously, but I can see the possible reasoning behind it.
