Spring 2012 Anime Season

I can't remember the last anime that had me this immersed emotionally, Sakamichi is just really damn good. I'm digging the sudden twist at the end with Yurika falling for Jun, looks to be a really nice drama and it felt like forever since I had last seen a good and realistic (realistic meaning it doesn't take an entire season for them to finally muster up the courage to hold hands at age 18) drama.

Sakamichi no Apollon 04

This is the best single episode of an anime I have seen this year.

Everything about this show is absolutely flawless. They even got an American do to dubbing. Taboo subjects? Who cares! Watanabe does not disappoint.

This season has turned out to be much better than I was anticipating which is saying a lot. The shows I was hoping/praying/expecting to be good have (so far) met my lofty expectations with Lupin and E7, and other stuff has come out of nowhere like Sakamichi to quickly become one of my favorite shows.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned it before, but for some reason shows that are centered around music seem to have some of the best writing and characterization out there.

Jorm 04 was really good. Reminded me of Black Lagoon more than usual with the 2 parter quick mini-story that actually got me into the chacters.

Edit: just started Sakamichi and hit episode 3...my body wasn't ready...

Edit edit: Sankrea EP5...yep...this is a good show.

Accel World 05

I was expecting Haruyuki to be really wimpy, but he's actually not that bad.

Little bittersweet taste to this show; it's pretty much my penultimate dream for the future of the internet.

Yeah, I feel the same way. That was easily the best episode I've seen of any anime in a long time and I'm completely digging where the anime is going with its direction. Absolutely loving it and I'm glad to see most people feel the same way about it, too.

Fate/Zero Ep18

Well that was the best episode of the season so far, There was once again a lot of stuff happening in this episode despite being a flashback episode, but nothing felt like it was just rushing by. The show is really expertly directed in that regard.

I find watching these episode on nico makes them insanely better. The shouts of "This is now Dead Island" made me laugh a bit too much -_-. Awesome episode, either way. I was looking forward to this part.

If they make that an anime before Hoshi no Samidare, everyone should flip their shit and rage. That would be a great injustice.

Also, thoughts on the other 2013 rumors:

"Oh boy, newer and lesser versions of Toradora, Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne!!, Index/Railgun, and Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai are on the horizon!"

I'll probably be excited for them then but not now and maybe not ever. Heavy Object might work out though
