I challenge BG to a pokemon battle! I'm probably gonna get this. I have a tendency to find a game then play it far too much which pokemon games tend to fit the bill for perfectly.

Probably passing on this and the rest to come. I keep buying Pokemon games to endlessly fight the CPU. No one ever responded to battle requests here after spending days breeding/EV training/IV breeding/trading etc.

Well, my desire to battle sort of waned with B/W because they removed the auto-100 option in the wi-fi along with B/W's netcode being ass to begin with, otherwise I would have battled a ton. :/

If I can get this on Rom I will, otherwise I won't get it.

I have played only up to just past the first gym in b/w, and the remakes of gold/silver I am only just past the first gym too.

I just can't get into it like I used to I guess. The last one I was serious with was Platinum/Diamond. Maybe I'll bring my DS to work tomorrow and play some more of b/w, my problem may have been going overboard with google/serebii/walkthroughs/cheats just to get through them faster.

Well, I'm in agreement on the first sentence. Kind of mirroring what Aki said though, the biggest issue with B/W was the awful netcode and horrible changes they made to the online battling options. Taking out auto scaling 100's and leaving people with only a couple shitty options for online matches really killed most people's desire to play. Unfortunately though, I think the series has run it's course in my books.

I swear to god Pokemon games are being made in China nowadays. I mean, the games still look like 16bit ass sprites with 3 frames of animation, the gameplay was redundant enough after Pokemon G/S, same copy-pasta everythang with lazier designs. Maybe I'm asking too much since they need to keep from losing their 7-12 age group due to complexity/difficulty.

Does Nintendo ever intend on releasing a fully-functional modern Pokemon RPG? Someone needs to make a new Jade Coccoon game already.

Fwiw Black/White is a decent game, if you've never played Pokemon before.

To be fair, in a business sense, if people were foolish enough to eat that shit up for profit I was able to gain from it, I wouldn't upgrade either.

I still believe that a Pokemon MMO would drive people nuts but who plays online games?

Yeah, I always thought they planned on doing an MMO one day, that seems like it would be a huge cash farm. They could even somehow integrate the cards into it for more $$$

Snivy, Tepig And Oshawott Return As Pokémon Black And White 2′s Starters

Pokémon Black/White 2 will take place in the Unova region once more, two years after the original Black/White. We know that Black/White 2 will have both old and new areas, and that some of the older ones will be updated, but a new episode of Pokémon Smash brings details on the Pokémon themselves as well.

Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott will once again serve as black and Black/White 2’s starter Pokémon. Pokémon will have new animations that weren’t in Black/White, and we now know that Azurill and Lillipup will be found in an early route in the game. The Unova Pokédex for Black/White 2 has 300 Pokémon in it.

On the subject of routes, Game Freak director, Junichi Masuda, also revealed on Pokémon Smash that the routes in Black/White 2 are more detailed, although we aren’t entirely certain what he means by this.

Nintendo also sent out a bunch of new screenshots for the game, showing off a bunch of different characters such as the two new trainers and your new rival:

We also have art and screenshots of the new Gym leaders, as well as screenshots of environments, and screens of some the Pokémon that are confirmed to be in the game, such as Lapras, Tyranitar, Metagross, Psyduck and others.

This has nothing to do with the game. But I wasn't quite sure where to post it. In the first Black and White thread I made a few sculptures of pokemon. Well, I just recently got 50 pounds of clay and wanted something cool to do so....

The cover for the upcoming issue of CoroCoro has leaked several days early and reveals what appears to be new formes for Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus. The new Tornadus forme matches the mysterious bird silhouette from the Pokemon AR Searcher game preview last month - it seems Nintendo was actually trying to foreshadow new reveals when they first showcased the game! The person who posted the scan also stated that the magazine reveals Brock, Bianca, Cheren, and Giovanni will be in Black 2 and White 2, but we'll have to wait for the rest of the magazine to leak to find out what that's about!

Update (1:00 AM) - The poster of the scan has revealed more information! First, the new formes for Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus can only be caught in the Pokemon AR Searcher game, which of course can then be transferred over to Black 2 and White 2. Second, Cheren will appear in the games as a Gym Leader. Third, "Pokewood" will replace Black and White's musicals (a combination of Pokemon + Hollywood?); it's apparently the movie theater feature that appeared in several of the game trailers.

Update (3:45 AM) - The same source also says that Misty, Green (Gary), Lance, Volkner, and Steven Stone appear in a new facility run by Cynthia where you can battle them. That's probably where we'll see Brock and Giovanni as well.

Update (4:00 AM) - Lt. Surge, Erika, and Janine will also be present. Apparently the facility is called "World Tournament." It seems you'll be able to battle all previous Gym Leaders and Elite Four Champions there.
