The Lorax (MC: 47, RT: 58%)

can't believe no one posted on this one yet. Please do not see this bag of shit movie. I couldn't believe how terrible it was. I read the reviews online from rotten tomatoes et all and figured "well maybe they are just jaded." No they were spot on.

If you think you are going in to see Horton Hears a Who be prepared for a letdown. The art design is all over the place. The lorax doesn't know if it wants to be funny, serious, or spiritual. Characters are very spotty....and please for the love of god the music numbers are unnecessary!

One of the things that pissed me off the most about the movie were the twelve billion cliche moments of slapstick that they HAD TO PUT IN THE MOVIE (i.e. - a least once a minute someone smacking into a tree, pan, rock, hand, etc.) but made no real sense as to why they were there.

Overall giant thumbs down for this one. Dr.Suess does not approve.

I bet the movie would be a thousand times better if instead of the Lorax, Devitto did his voice acting as Frank Reynolds.
