Can't for the life of my get the 360 controller to work with this game. Works fine with the original JP box release but not with Steam.

Do you have any other controllers or macro pads of any kind connected? Usually when I unplug my N52te it solves any controller problems.
Tried that but no dice.
Weird, mine worked just fine. Got a wired USB controller.
Then again, it's a Batman one.
That might explain it.
People have had complaints about 360 pads over the SPUF, mostly about the trigger buttons though.
That's why I just used my USB/PS2 controller adapter, I love setting Hugo's attack button on R2 like a trigger, shit works so well with his shootan style.
Very curious about that insane new dash.
Edit: Was that a flashguard counter? I thought I saw a jumping attack in there as well.. holy shit. Now I just hope they release Vita's in white.
Pretty much the main reason I'm getting a vita is for this, and Zero no Kiseki Evolution. Time to replay Ys Seven~
I still need to finish Ys Chronicles. Dunno how far I am, but good lord it's easy to get lost in this game.
Can you beat Toal in Ys Origin (as Hugo) when you first fight him or do you just have to take that loss? I've gotten kinda close to beating him but without being able to retry instantly and having to go through that cut scene every time is killing my will to see if it can be done.
You can beat him if you're leveled high enough (Around 23 I believe). But outside of an achievement, it changes it nothing.
Not enough people care to warrant making a thread, but Nayuta no Kiseki just came out. If anyone cares I'll post some early impressions later, just started it up on Hard mode now. Seems to be very wordy (unsurprisingly, given they categorized it as a "story action RPG") but I'm getting a heavy Ys 7 vibe from it, so I'm expecting good things.
Ys: Oath in Felghana was a great purchase from the steam sale. Sorta wishing I got Ys Origin too, but it's all good. There's always winter.

Here's my fight against him, I was 24 iirc.
That would require Falcom making a PC version for it first
Edit: Oh, Sora not nayuta lol.
Been playing it for a bit, just beat first boss. Game is pretty fun, but there's sooo much talking. I don't care for the story that much so I usually just hold skip unless it looks like an important cutscene lol.
Sadly, Falcom did get out of the PC market from what I heard.
Yeah since they stated developing on the PSP is essentially the same and they're guaranteed more sales since PC gaming isn't too large in Japan. Though they can always pass off to Konami again like they did with VI.
