Week #1: I have T14 normal, but screw you guy, I'm lotting on LFR version anyway, it's worth 40 gold
Week #2: Lotting again, screw you guys.
The current system need to be overhauled completely to avoid loot drama while remaining rewarding. You can add more exceptions and rules to avoid frustrating stuffs, but what's the point? Blizzard simply decided to take away the control that players had over loot, assumed rightfully that everyone want reward out of it, and gave us a new system.
Why do you want to keep need/greed systems anyway? What do you get out of it that you won't get with the new system?
New wave of invites going out. Check your battle.net accounts and inboxes!
Oh hey
Sweet.
You're forgetting
"Well I could loot this item and try and trade it to the people who might want it if they get a drop I want!"
You're so stupid it hurts the brain. There's no option to pass in the new system because passing serves no purpose. If you really have a hard-on for passing, drop/destroy the item or gold that the boss gives you, because that's the exact same effect.
Friends that work for Blizzard circumvent that system.
Let's repeat this cycle some more. Where is the difference to the current system other then you can't get pissed off at a player for rolling on an item they don't need..now you just get pissed off at the system itself for giving an item to a player...that doesn't need it.
I'm not talking boomkins rolling on vials and shit.
Current:
We kill Morchok, he drops dps plate item, I dont need them, 2 other people dont need them and 1 person does. 9 times out of 10, everyone rolls on them anyways, because we are all cunts. 1 of the 3 people who doesn't need the item wins it. 1 person who did gets very angry.
MoP.
We kill Morchok, I dont need anything, 2 other people dont need anything and 1 person does, we all being the only plate wearing dps in the raid (lots of rogues came out to raid). System rolls for all of us anyways. 1 of the 3 people who doesn't need the item wins it. 1 person who does gets very angry.
Yup, you're stupid.
There is no "THE ITEM". Everyone either wins or does not win an item independently. You could raid with 25 plate wearers and your chance to win the item you want is still exactly the same.1 of the 3 people who doesn't need the item wins it.
Just checked, still no access here, though I'm not all that worried about it, I have so little time to play right now as it is.
Got in, apparently Blizzard is actually taking account length + day signed up into account.
Still not in, commencing with moar QQs
This has been explained to him like 15 times and he either still doesn't get it or doesn't want to get it. There is no passing. There is no loot that "drops." There is no "the item." There is NO WAY THAT THE RAID COMPOSITION OR ANY OTHER FACTORS AFFECT YOUR LIKELIHOOD OF WINNING ANYTHING.
Aurik is absolutely right.
Randomness will always be the bane of the stupid.
Stupid people will always assign value to randomness. Either in the "why didn't I get something when you did" or "I didn't get something the last 10 times, I will definitely get it this time".
Random is FUCKING RANDOM. Everyone rolls independently in Mists. Your roll has NO FUCKING EFFECT on anyone else's roll.
It is a smart system, the problem is not with the system, it is with the stupid people that have to use a smart system.
And, Hi Aurik, haven't seen you in a while.
