to be fair, weather is probably the only FWP you'll ever get any pushback on in this thread because EVERYONE is perversely proud about how well they handle their own particular type of shitty weather. For example, my call center has never closed and will pay for hotel rooms for us if we need them in winter because we have collectively decided we are not closing due to snow period. because we're not pussies.

Holy fuck it's like I can't take vacation days at my work because despite my planning people still won't do shit while I'm out. I've gotten the "Well we didn't want to call and bother you on your days off" twice now. I get it, some people hate that, but I specifically told people to call me if they needed help or had questions. I would MUCH rather you call me on my day off for a 5 minute conversation than be blindsided when I come back to work and find shit wasn't done and I'm now I'm hours (in some cases, days) behind on work.

I only had one sick day left and had to take it today. I was saving it in case the kids got a bad fever or something, but I felt like shit last night and this morning I have the runs. I only have time to go to the bathroom for an hour in the morning (prep) and then not until after school ends, so I can't work today because I need the toilet like every 20~ minutes.


Sucks, because otherwise I would be fine to work, and I have to pray my kids don't get sick in the next two and a half months.

Got my first ever parking ticket today and there are zero No Parking signs in the vicinity of where I parked. Fighting it obviously.

Received a call today from the city that they feel there are an "adequate" amount of No Parking signs on the street even though acknowledging there isn't one in the immediate area of where I parked. Said he felt the ticket is justifiable and I'd have to go to court to fight it. Unbelievable. Guess the city really needs my $17.
