Sometimes I just can't help it. I gotta watch Impact for the lols. I just heard a camera guy say 'cut' after a fight in the hallway between AA and Mr. Annnnnnderson, as they broke to commercial. Also... these Aces and Eights backstage moments are great. Then there is the inner monologue from the mind of Jeff Hardy that they opened the show with.

So great.

Didn't catch much of Smackdown except for Kane Vs. Cody with D-Bryan and Sandow on commentary which had me laughing so hard the entire time. When they started berating each others beards I lost it!

That was the best part of the night. What my brain remembers hearing...

DBry to Sandow "Yeah well Kane is going to disfunction your face!"
Sandow "... that doesn't even make any sense!"
JBL "Well actually, I have been in the ring with Kane a few times, and disfunctioning faces is pretty much correct."

The later match between DBry and Sandow with Kane and Rhodes on commentary was pretty good too. Simply because Kane didn't say a single word and Rhodes just kept saying ridiculous shit.

The sports bar I normally go to for PPVs has stopped showing them in favor of football now that NFL is back on

This has been one of the most boring PPVs of all year so far. Random matches, no one gives a shit about them either. US title match out of nowhere, ANOTHER tag match that doesn't even matter, orton/alberto which was a good technical match but has no emotional attachment whatsoever.

They better do something creative with the WHC match with a Ziggler twist, and have Punk retain in an original way via interference or something, otherwise this PPV is going to be their shittiest PPV of 2012.

It's actually had good wrestling. Just feels boring because the crowd sucks. Agree about some random ass matches though.

edit: And I'm really not complaining about the wrestling, the matches are good. I just don't feel attached to any of them. No builds for any of these matches. Not even the Kofi/Miz match mattered, and they actually tried building that through 3 different shows.

Yeah that I see. Only match so far with any real build was the tag team championship match. ADR/Orton had a slight build but I dont give a shit about that feud.

When 99% of the writer's focus is on the main event, its no secret why there's no emotional attachment. I'm more annoyed at the crowd; I know pay to see the top slots, but a crowd that isn't cheering or booing just sucks the life out of the event.

Not remembering what other matches are made for tonight, I literally just went "I bet there will be a Ryback squash between the two championships." Took me a second to realize my mistake there.

They never announced it was. I'm glad they figured out that just because the event is HIAC doesn't mean every championship match needs to be in it. It just hurts the legacy of the cell by having throwaway matches in the Cell.

While I completely agree, having a pay per view called "HIAC" and having only one match in it seems kind of... pointless. If you want to maintain the HIAC's integrity, make it random again. Make it a match that only happens once the feud is so bad there is no other option. Not that we know it comes every year.

I know it was never billed as a HIAC match, but I was just assuming that both title matches would be.

Yep, thats the issue with having themed WWE PPVs named after match types. Following them for multiple matches makes them feel repetitive and not as magical as the match type might be with just one match, but then only having 1 match on a name PPV also seems lame. They should go back to the old PPV names.

Of course he does. But its classic storytelling. Both men kick out of their respective finishers before one puts the other away with a 2nd finisher. I'm assuming its gonna be Sheamus.
