Synopsis:

Narrated by Lord Commander Jeor Mormont of the Night's Watch - voiced by series star James Cosmo, who also lent his likeness to the game - the new trailer ("The Wall") introduces viewers to the bitter cold and solitude of the massive barrier of ice that stretches across the northern border of the Seven Kingdoms, protecting it from the wild lands beyond. Each member of the Night's Watch, the order of black-garbed soldiers tasked with patrolling and guarding The Wall, must swear a solemn, life-long oath to the order, one punishable by death should it be broken. The trailer offers ample evidence of the game's dedication to authenticity and to properly capturing the grit and drama the beloved fantasy series is famous for.

Honestly, it looks like they're just trying to ride off the success of the books and the TV shows. This game will probably suck.

A Song of Fire and Ice has to do more with the politics and drama than the combat. And that's why I think this will be more like a generic RPG with a couple GoT characters and settings thrown in than a true Ice and Fire RPG.

Actually Cyanide Studios did "A Game of Thrones: Genesis" Last year, so this is probably based on the same tech as that game :/ Kinda wondering why Atlus would publish this type of game.

Definitely a total cash in. There is also an MMO coming out from the same people who did the BSG MMO http://www.bigpoint.com/gameofthronesmmo/

This. I'll wait for the reviews. If it's good, I would love to play it. Licensed properties for video games, however, have a long history of sucking ass.

2) I really don't want to want to play it, but I love both Game of Thrones and Dragon Age: Origins, which was referenced about half a dozen times in that video. Guess I'll end up minus $60.

Hmmm. Nothing there to convince me the game is going to be particularly good, but nothing there to convince me it's going to suck either. Waiting for reviews still, I guess. After the recent Walking Dead game success, my opinions of licensed properties has brightened a little bit.

Ugh... Honestly there wouldn't be anything wrong with it in a couple years when they weren't having to contend with GW2 and TERA and actually tried to innovate with it, but at this point it's going to be another generic cash-cow mmo that will play exactly like WoW or worse.
