I've done 10 hamlets in a row with the key item. If it does raise drop rate, it must be a Tanaka Amount (Read: almost non existent increase).

Ergh, Lv2 Hamlet... stupid Kobold bombs. Anyone got any strategies for 'em?

Cart type/locations were from memory, so they are probably incorrect until we go back again. Potion colours change each time. Scout Wolf/Battle Drake/Synthetic Bomb enters with the wave of mobs right before the boss.

Wow, that's pretty helpful. Thanks a lot Shiu!
3 DoH, 2 DoL, 2 WHM, 1 WAR or PLD.
2 DoH - ATK+ rotation
1 DoH - DEF+; can also enmity reset in a pinch
2 DoL - ATK down to start, then poison once, then ATK down until NM spawns; once NM appears, cycle between enmity reset and ATK down.
2 WHMs buff, regen and cure NPCs.
1 WAR or PLD pulls and kills crab and bomb (NPCs won't attack them). Pull NM to the zombie mage tunnel, and kite up and down the length of the tunnel. You should only need a regen from time to time to stay alive. When enmity reset strikes, the NM will attempt to change target only after he issues an order, so save your voke/flash until then.
When all forces are dead and zombie spawns, WHMs help kill zombie while DoL prime a poison. WAR pulls the NM into the NPCs after zombie is dead, DoL completes poison, NM dies, 50,000 points, everyone gets seals, high fives.
If the DoH are doing their job and keeping ATK+ up at all times, mobs should be dying very fast. There will always be some archers that are not attacking anything.
I find it hard to believe that all 12 archers are occupied so long that you get alot of deaths to hinder your entire run. They do damn near 500 dmg per shot.
If this is an issue for you, I suggest you have your WAR/PLD assist on pulling them off, or if your WHMs are pro enough, help nuke or regen/cure spam your DoH/DoL. Even if they die with 2 WHM to chain raise, shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Another tatic would be to designate specific areas for DoL and DoH to run to as to not occupy all the archers. For example, in Grid Hamlet, we have our DoL run left after the bridge to the 2 archers waiting while our DoH run right after the bridge to the other 2 archers waiting.
Also they will only atk the most recent person who turned in an item. So if DoH#1 turns in DEF+ and 5 sec later DoH#2 turns in ATK+, the 2 mobs that was chasing DoH#1 will both switch to DoH#2
Hamlet Info from 1.22b:
There is an ALL NEW chest at 60k+. So far, drops equipment only (no DM, coins, fireworks). No seals yet.
If you are a top 3 provisioner, you may earn seals from the captain. They go directly into your inventory.
Thanks for the info!
Is hamlet something you need a dedicated group for like most instance bosses or can any PUG get it done?
#1 provisioner is 4/4 on seals from captain.
#2 provisioner 2/4.
#3 provisioner 0/4.
Speculation: #1 100% seal drop, #2 50%, #3 25%.
This makes provisioning hamlets far more rewarding if you are specifically after seals and not tools/jewelry. I like it.
However, this also makes provisioning far more competitive and we are sure to see top-3 provisioners in the millions this weekend.
PUG can do it if they all have hamlet experience beforehand on their respective jobs. eg. DoL knows how pots work, DoH knows how buffs work, WHMs know how to balance cures and regens, WAR knows where to find roaming mobs/hold NM, etc.Is hamlet something you need a dedicated group for like most instance bosses or can any PUG get it done?
If too many inexperienced people go in at once, you're bound to lose points or fail altogether. Even one or two new people in an experienced PT can break a debuff rotation or run out of MP and cost the group 50k/60k chest.
#1 provisioner for Hrystmill was already like 1.5m points this afternoon, jfc this is gonna get insane
Got seal from 60k+ chest, in case anyone was curious.
For people who boost their hamlet supply rating to astronomical amounts, is there an item (or items) they focus on submitting?
Good thing is once those people at #1 get their seals they wont need to be top provisioner anymore, but the problem I forsee is they will just pass the supply down the line to another LS mate to push them to #1 for guaranteed seals. But eventually the top provisioners will keep cycling out.
