I have been enjoying Iron Blooded Orphans so far. I didn't see it when it came out on Chunchyroll. I've been behind on my anime. I've been wondering about something though. I thought about asking this in the Gundam thread but I don't want to see any spoilers. I'm confused by some of the characters ages sinse it never says how old they are. Orga and Akihiro for example are obviously in their late teens but others I don't know like Mikazuki and Atra. Mikazuki seems like he could be a teenager, maybe, 14-15. Atra can't be I don't think. Maybe it's cause she's so short. There was one episode flashback where it showed she was a slave and she said she was 10 at the time then Mikazuki saved her and she joined them. Years passed so she has to be older on the other hand.
Should probably never take age in anime too seriously. Like, I think Naruto was 16 when he became ninja jesus. Or see every 14 year old girl with G-Cups.
I was just curious because Gundam shows tend to be more realistic with characters. I did another internet search and found that Mikazuki and Atra are both 15.
Any word if Toonami is going to pick up the second season of Iron Blooded Orphans?
Probably too early to tell, but I can't think of any series they've intentionally left hanging if it's had multiple parts.
I don't know why they do these "marathons" of one show and repeat episodes. Maybe to let people see a couple episodes they missed?
That and during any holidays people are less likely to be watching tv during these times. Marathons did better than movies during those times so with the exception next week of them airing "Children who chase lost voices" during DST.
They should have aired that eariler last night and forgone the regular schedule so more people would have watched it. I had never seen it before and thought it was beautiful.
I wanted to see it but knew I wouldn't make it through.
Any chance it's available for streaming on Toonami?
