Found out how to skip ahead acts for inferno in case you need. Someone whispered and i can't remember name for credit, but figured i'd share.
Make a game on hell difficulty on the mission your wanting, then immediately "Leave Game", and then click "Join Public Game" enter without changing anything and you can leave and resume your single player game on desired mission. It will automatically set it to inferno difficulty when you join the public.

Well, I can personally say i did this...

Went to Hell Mode, Picked "Act IV Inferno, Final Mission" > Went in > Exited > Switched to an Inferno Quest (Any Inferno Quest) and Did not enter a game, But instead hit "Public Games" and the first quest that showed up was... Act IV, inferno.

Did this.. 4-5 Days ago tops, I also have 2-3 Quests in Act III inferno Unlocked cause I jumped ahead to it and decided to stay with the guy in the game to farm a bit, and ended up beating 2 quests.

    So it still works now.

Is there a way to stop that DoT debuff Diablo gives you occasionally when he swipes you? I keep dying in the second phase when he inevitably gets a swipe in. This last time we both died at the same time, I was raging pretty hard.

still works as of 20 seconds ago, you can only save one point though. I tried to do this process with the beginning of act 3 and act 4 so i'd have both points saved and when i added act 4 it removed my point from act 3, it might be different though if you actually log in and progress beyond the start of whatever quest you selected.

  8. #428

Yea it will become permanent if you finish whichever quest you port to.

you can clear the debuff with health wells and any effects that drops debuffs, i.e. for wizard mirror images.

What type of DPS are other wizards here sporting? Most of my gear is 60 and even at that I'm sitting at a paltry 22.5k. Would really love to know what i'm doing so wrong.

2 handed bows loaded with int. Mine has 200 int and I only spent 1m on it, and also has 100 vit. Cheap option till you find a real nice 1 hander with more int, along with an equally good offhand.

WD is viable, but still a lot slower than a DH or Wiz. For having a 60WD, DH and Barb, there is an enormous gap in item requirements between each of them. Most of my DH stuff I had gotten as drops farming pony level on my WD, and he now sits at 57k dps without the stacking passive. Meanwhile, I've been investing all of my money into my WD and he's only at 58k with Pierce The Veil.

The two main issues that I find very restrictive with WD right now are survivability and splash damage. The only true escape mechanism we have is Spirit Walk, and it's on a 20 (15?) sec cooldown and at inferno, you aren't gonna get the full 2-3sec walk because the mobs hit so hard they will destroy your illusion in a single hit. DH has smoke screen which does the exact same thing but with a 2sec cooldown. Then there's the issue of mana consumption with all of our splash spells, since we dont have a ranged auto-attack that can do splash damage and hit out of the screen (act 3 is incredibly slow for WDs since we have to snipe stuff like Quills and Soul Lashers with Poison Darts while out of the screen to avoid getting hit by their ranged attacks). DH has both Elemental Arrow and Hungering Arrow that hit everything around at a huge distance, AND spammable.

To give you an idea, it takes me between 25-45 minutes to do a SB run with my DH, while it easily takes me 45min-1.5hr with my WD and sometimes I can't even get my 5 stacks because the elite packs are so gay.

Witchdoctors are fucking amazing in groups though, you can make the most awkward builds and have it work if you're teamed with a good partner, since you provide all the utility needed and the other guy just destroys everything

Guess I'll have to save up and look. I'm sporting a staff with 1215 dmg. Was expecting a bit more out of it.

WD was fucking sweet until act 2 inferno. I felt it in act 1, but not so much. I played co-op all the way through the game with a DH and I felt as I contributed more up until act 2 inferno.

I think WD just needs to be geared really well to be played as well a DH since so much of WD's stuff is on-screen or even <20 yards. Pretty much anything that relies on taking any amount of hits needs to be geared up to infinity and beyond to be played well in inferno. Or you just VQ bears and hope you zerg shit the fuck down during spirit vessel and spirit walk(so 4-6 seconds lol). Dh does shit way faster. To the point it doesn't matter if you die more often. And it isn't like WD can be built glass cannon like a DH since, like the above poster said, DH has more range and better(relatively) survivability with smokescreen vs spirit walk and root caltrops vs all of WD's other CC.

DH is just better because nothing can lasts long enough to drain all of your discipline before you can kill whatever you're fighting.

But I think I would have enjoyed DH from normal -> inferno act 1 less than WD. WD was really a blast up until I needed gear I couldn't farm to do things that dropped gear that I couldn't use.

I'll echo that WD's great in groups. I still contribute a lot when I duo with my DH buddy. But I'm really bitter, mad, and jealous that I can't compare well to him in solo play.

I'm still wondering why dyes can be bought on the AH. They are vendor only so what is the point of selling them on the AH? The only thing is vendors tend to have random dyes but you can just reload the game usually and get what you want. Also who the shit are these people putting dyes up on the AH for less than they cost at the vendor? What is the point in that, did they buy them in droves then decide they didn't want the dyes?

Maybe there is a way to obtain dyes outside of a vendor that I'm not aware of.

Some special NPCs found by quests can sell Dyes at half price, THat might explain the low prices on some of them.
