Took me like 20 tries to finally figure out a good rythme to Ghom, but finally did on monk. Damage, ascension, blinding flash, run just out of range of gas, get him in range. Repeat. Went in a big circle and by the time I went around, gas was clear. Though, seemed he was starting to rage near the end as he was spawning gas twice as fast but finished him off. Definitly took a bit to do.
Is this any good? Beside the no vit?
2h bow with
997 dps
7% attack speed
77-227 poison dmg. ideas?
sounds like garbage
/toss
I had put this up for 2m reserve with no buyout. I was expecting 5-6m. I'm glad I didn't put a buyout.
Spoiler: show
nice, good for you
Holy &^%$ I've salvaged better.... I should really review my idea of whats good because I am so wrong.
Because I have the taint of fail on each item I put up for sale. If I had put that up for 10k it wouldn't have sold. I can't sell anything other than rings/amulets/weapons.
If that were just dex/vit/all resist it wouldn't actually be worth much at all. It's not terrible in those terms, but it's nothing amazing.
However, for a monk that's chosen lightning as their element, that belt is not just 140 dex 110 vit, it's also 108 resist all.
Monks get a passive called "One with everything." It makes it so that *all* your resists are equal to your highest resist. As a result, monk are pretty much always looking for dex + vit + all resist *+ their chosen element*.
So there ya go, that's why he got a bunch for that belt, it's also why I got $35 for these bracers:
Which I'm guessing a lot of people would actually have salvaged not realizing what they had. They seem like a joke, but when you put together that they're nearly 100 vit with 240 armor and 90 all resist to a monk that's chosen fire, and oh btw happened to get a pretty nice roll on some regen... yeah, sickness.
Well when I was trying I hadn't worked out my current high discipline build that lets me stand in one spot and smash shit, so I guess it's the fact that as a dh I couldn't stay close enough to the previous gas, and by the time I'd work my way back around in a circle, the first gas would still be there and I'd just be fucked.
Lol, the post above me made me realize how much of a luck game the RMAH is. I have the 5-prop bracer recipe, and thus have put multiple pairs of bracers up with will over 100 res for a monk, along with both 100+vit/dex, and no pair ever sells. Even with $10-20 buyouts, bracers much better than the ones posted above never seem to sell on there. I knew drops and more importantly rolls were completely luck based, but it appears getting items to sell on the AH is just as much a game of luck as anything else in the game, lol.
did they also have 240 armor (= another 25 all res basically) and 200+ regen?
I'm sure you're right to some extent at least, though, due to the fact that you can only search 3 stats. Also I sold those pretty soon after rmtah came up, before the big crafting boom I think.
Wish they had better crit rate, but still think I will make a decent amount off em :D
Edit:
Bought this... think I can resell it for a bit, thoughts?
You'll get at least 50, and thats on the low side.
Ahhh, I didn't know that pair was sold shortly after the RMAH was released. I made a few sales of bracers and other various items right after it went live as well, but the past 2 or so weeks I haven't been able to make a single sale on the RMAH, even putting decent-solid rolls up for the $10-30 range with less than $10 starting bids.
At this point, even though I am throwing items with decent-good rolls on them on the RMAH, it feels like the RMAH just extra storage for me, since there's a 95% chance any items I put on there will be returned. At least I can sell things often enough on the gold AH still to bring in enough gold to make a solid gear upgrade every week or two, but it's shocking how quickly the RMAH went from being a big thing to a ghost town in terms of activity.
So as to not have too many posts in a row by me without pics in this thread, I got this xbow last night, and didn't have the AH room to sell it until today. I know it's not God-tier or anything, but what do you AH-savy folks think it might fetch on the gold AH?
For example, these have been up for 9.00 for a week. Granted no vit but cmon.
I've also sold rings like this one for 15.00 but this one wont sell for 5.00. Completely random.
Those bracers are just really low stats...
