So after 80+ hours of dicking around on my way to Inferno, (mostly achievement whoring, no real farming and I haven't touched the AH yet) I finally decided to take the plunge for the first time earlier today (Act I has been a joke so far, btw). Skellie King drops this for me:



I know, nothing special, but it's damn good for my Wiz and should make the rest of Act I a walk in the park.

for 15k you could get a 2 hander with 200 more dps and it comes with a socket and 100 or more int. unless you aren't using the AH on principle rather than just not having bothered so far

Yeah, I'm staying away from the AH on principle more than anything else. Having a blast so far in Inferno too without it. I don't doubt that may change in the later acts, but really having fun farming now in Act I.

Just about no wasted stats. Too bad it's a low strength roll(shoulders can go up to 300) otherwise it would be top notch as it has everything really.

No idea on price. Shit isn't selling at 60% of normal price for me anymore.

Next to nothing unfortunately, Shoulders with Strength rolls of less than 200 wont sell, even with good resist and life %.

A damn shame indeed. Those shoulders would be 1.5m - 2.5m easily in HC. Which then could become like 5-7m normal mode gold if you want to do the gold swapping thing..

Any ideas on the worth of this thing? I realize that rare orbs have the possibility of having a high crit chance/intelligence, so I'm not expecting a huge sum of gold from the thing. The reason I think it might be sell-able in the first place is due to it being 40 damage from max, 18 LoH from max, max arcane for this piece, max life %, max spectral blade dmg%, and the socket can add a little int to it as well. I know not to expect a whole lot, but I figured a set item with that many max/near max rolls has to be worth something, right?

Source's can go up to +400 dmg high end and over 100 something low end so the damage is the thing holding it back the most. It looks like it would be for a melee build with the spectral blade and loh but those builds usually want arcane power on crit and crit chance. max arcane power is decent but not a make or break stat. maybe you should wait for the patch to see if spectral blade builds get buffed some way to capitalize on that stat increasing the value

Alrighty, thanks for the info. I only have WD, monk, and DH at 60, so I really am clueless when it comes to end-game wizard-only items, lol. This is the first unique I have got as a drop in at least 3-4 weeks though, so I was really excited when I saw the green orb pop up as a drop. Unfortunately, I had to get one of my first okay non-weapon uniques a week or less before the update, but I'm not complaining, haha.

Just sold two that were your hand crossbows combined. LOH/50%ish Crit Dmg, etc for about 2 mil a piece. Since both are missing one stat, i'd put em around 500k-1 mil ish.

@Kaope That's pretty sexy. A good Amethyst in there makes up for the LOH. Can't say for sure though but I'd say 5-10 mil?

Just sold for 35m! Now I shall have some money for post 1.0.4 goodies.



I originally listed it for 50m, but it didn't sell so I relisted for 35m and sold overnight. Got it from Warrior's Rest farming with ~220% base mf.

If only the damage were higher

So I finally sold this thing for 140million. It sold within a few hours at that price so I could have probably gotten more but it didn't sell 160million from the day before. Probably just a case of the right guy searching this time and not before. With i61 and 62 weapons capable of getting top end damage in the coming patch I figured I needed to sell this asap before tons of good weapons flood the AH and people in need of a weapon decreases so I was dropping the price more heavily the past week.
