Ok so I got this a bit ago in HC. Can any of you guys out there that know WD tell me if it's good/worth anything?

    Ty

Really good. I see lots of WDs using it. You have an average damage roll (it goes ~60-~500 total damage, you got 273) but the magic props you rolled are int (!!) and dex.

Man I wish I could get something for my class that has pickup radius like that, I hate that damn stat. I always have to have at least one piece of gear with it to not go mad and I typically have to sacrifice a better piece I want to have it.

I want gold pick-up to be automated like EXP gain. It's such a fucking time-waster otherwise.

manticore is at least not bad, definitely sellable if HC

both swords are junk, regardless of mode. I'd brim them and make some amulets. (I play HC where brim price is still more than vendor price; SC mode, people might just vendor or list on AH for pennies)

and the IK belt is rolled really pretty well, high str, max LS, 5% life random affix. Cleave is kinda not super coveted if you want to be picky, but it's still a high roll for its range. It should fetch some mils, an easy good sell if HC

I know that's no price check, but at least telling you the middle 2 aren't worth bothering trying to sell imo.

The best skill you could roll on that belt would be Rend, but honestly that is a really good cleave roll. I use cleave in my build because you can nearly fill your fury gauge in one attack with reaping swing. I don't know why a lot of Barbs don't use it.

cleave builds are pretty common in SC, you'll get a nice chunk for that belt

rest is pretty much crap but the manti you can prob get a couple hundred k for

3 month bump for craziest ammy ever. (not mine clearly) RNG was truly beaten on SC Americas after 17 months -- this is probably one of the few things that won't be easily trumped with RoS gear. Supposedly going to go for ~6k USD? I dunno

So I'm playing the PTR and get a legendary, identify it.. The stats are ridiculous lol. I guess they aren't showing item level anymore? Or maybe not until 70? If drops are going to be this crazy then holy crap, I got this one in torment II.

    Spoiler: show

the stat creep is huge. you only show a factor of 2x or 3x on that nub lv60 ring. It's more a factor of 5x-10x at level 70, where you'll be finding rares with 873 strength and 758 vitality.

jeez >.> so that amulet you posted earlier will indeed be pretty useless at 70 with amulets rocking 800+ str and Crit. Presumably crit and ias caps will stay the same but still that much of a main stat would outweigh the other stats most likely.

  16. #1576

He's citing stuff back from November, which doesn't really apply now. So, while stats do improve or 70 gear, some things have actually been toned back like the max attack speed, crit damage, and crit rate on rares. This is also the source of a lot of stink from people pissed legacy items can't be enchanted. Though I think it's dumb people expected level 60 items to work at 70. FFXI this is not.

  17. #1577

People are dumb if they want currently existing rare items to still be the best in the game at 70. The game is about finding new items and making character progression that way. If you don't add item inflation...then people just level to 70 and say GG?

I think removing enchanting from legacy items is good, cause you can really pull the base stat back up to new RoS levels and keep a lot of the same (or better in some cases) affixes. And it makes it less stressful to daydream about getting the best possible amulet craft to enchant later. At one time, conceivably a /10 cc / 100 cd / 9 ias / 16% life / 80 AR / enchanted affix/ rare amulet would BiS in RoS or near it for a long long time. It'll be good to hunt again and change all slots up for awhile.

Legacy refers to any items that dropped before ROS comes out right? I have known Legacy to mean the old Legendaries before they changed them around and buffed them but I'm guessing current gear will be legacy in 2.0?

  20. #1580

It will in this case, yes. Personally I hate how some DH fawn over the legacy Nat's set and assume it a basis for any given build due to the discipline regen. That shit needs to GTFO, nevermind the general help DH needs for endgame. I'm also worried they're going to leave gambling in a nerfed state. They nerfed it initially due to people split farming bounties, but now they've basically "fixed" that, gambling is still a senselessly low chance for sets/legendaries (In part because some people "cried" about "buying" their gear in town). In knowing there are some 400+ legendaries in the game come RoS, getting a specific one is going to be a total pain in the ass even with the "2 hour safety net" they implemented to keep people from going on long droughts.
