I still have no idea what this movie is about except that WW finds a man, and WW1 happens. If they can keep Snyder away from this I'll give it a shot.

From what I gather it's kind of the origin story. The amazonians have been hiding on their island forever preaching how evil the world of man is. WW finds a man and realizes it was all a lie and decides she wants to go out into the world and do some good/explore. and iirc it was supposed to be around ww2 and her helping out

So they have a mirror on the island that was given to them by Hera to hide them from the word of man. The pilot guy basically was in a dog fight and goes through the barrier and crashes on the island. Diana finds him, Diana warns here of man's world and doesn't want to send her so they have their warriors fight to see who is going to go back with him, in which Diana wins. They go back to the "world of man" where she ends up sticking around and finds a mix between what they've been told and some other things blah blah blah. She ends up fighting along side them. Though it looks like the island gets invaded at some point.

I'm basically taking a synopsis from the WW movie cartoon from 2009, this seems to take heavily from that.

Her response is the first I heard about about the film being a mess. Source of the mess comment is an anon former WB employee who heard from others that WW isn't working out.

I think I remember reading (from a link on here, actually) that someone inside WB compared the process of writing the WW movie to throwing shit at a wall and seeing what sticked. BvS had a good first trailer, and the Suicide Squad trailers were good, too. I'm pretty sure at this point that history is going to repeat itself.

So many people got excited for this because of the action scene she had in BvS but srsly she has acting ability of a wooden board. Every time she opened her mouth was cringeworthy

What studios really want is profit. Good reviews are just one path to that. Ghostbusters for great reviews but lost the studio money. Sucide Squad got shit reviews but pretty sure the financial gain will win the day. Maybe WW will be a mess, but if it brings in the dough, studio claims a success.

tl;dr The people whose jobs are on the line are gonna try to claim success one way or another.

The reviewers I normally follow liked Suicide Squad, and so did I. "Reviewers" in general suck, you have to find ones that you can listen to and know how you likely are going to respond.
