FF 14 and Street Fighter X Tekken. Nothing is even close. I think the Fable games are one of the worst series ever, but I expected them to be awful, so doesn't really count.
GTA IV
ES:Oblivion.
Fallout 3.
Then, ES:Skyrim.
Now I hope I've learned something.
I can't really say I was deceived by XIV in any shape or form (at least at the point of release).
This piece of shit and all its versions
I love Rise of the Robots for how shitty it is. Blue Guy has a walk up jab infinite, and only player 1 can pick the blue guy.
Hmm, have a few:
Devil May Cry 4 - Was a decent game, but hated that I had to play for hours just to play as Dante, and the first half was pretty much the exact mirror of the second half. Lazy shit right there.
RE: Operation Raccoon City - Now I knew the trailers made it look amazing, and it got reviewed horribly, but I actually had a bit of fun with this game. Obviously not alone because that would be impossible, but with a friend it was actually a good time. Just hated that they took so many mis-steps to make it almost unplayable at certain points. especially the last DLC.
Modern Warfare 3 - Fuck this atrocity. I put over a month of my life in MW2 multiplayer and then this shit comes out and stains memories. God damn this game is horrible.
Others already mentioned:
GTA 4 - Way overhyped, never understood why the series was so popular. I never even finished 3 or San Andreas. With that said my sheeple self might end up getting 5 anyway.
FF13 - Dropped this game for over a year before even finishing it. Something about it was just sooooooo boring to me. Hell, I liked 10-2 before I like 13. Shit felt bland.
I will never understand the hate for 10-2. That game was awesome.Hell, I liked 10-2 before I like 13.
Catnip 4ever
I gotta say Bioshock.... :\
Enemies weren't very interesting to me and fighting the same ones again and again was a real bore.
After that...console version of Skyrim. Seeing all the mods on the PC look fun, but if you own the Xbox or Ps3 version you won't be doing more than jumping into cave after cave filled with bandits, animals, automatons, etc.
Hahaha I used to think Rise was awesome as a kid
Oh god, Rise of the Robots. That game. That game was soooo bad.
In no particular order:
ff13 - I tried, I really did. Game was garbage.
CoD World at War
Black Ops
madden 12 - not that it's hyped, but I personally was for newer rosters and what not. played for a week and sold it on ebay and went back to madden 10.
fable 2, dat ending
Am I the only person that thought street fighter x tekken looked like shit before release?
^ Serious question.
Also Fallout 3 was fantastic. It came out before we became tired of this Bethesda fps-wannabe shit (also it made fucking sense since you know, you use guns. Whereas by the time Skyrim surfaced we were tired of that). It was completely unrealistic of fans of the original games to want another top-down rpg because shit just doesn't sell anymore. Diablo 3 may be considered an exception but it's not doing too great itself and Diablo was always more interactive than the Fallout games.
FFX was a pile of polished dog shit that made me trade in my Dreamcast +6games for, so that's my fondest #1 lol
I remember getting excited for MK4(+whatever number of revisions), Tail of the Sun(Zzzz), Turok, Star Fox Adventures, Virtual Boy count?, MDK pissed me off(but it was beautiful at the time), Bionic Commando, Rage, Skyrim, Mass Effect 1, GTAIV, CoD series, Portal, GT5(never got to play it, fortunately), and Max Payne 3(to a degree, not a complete letdown). *I'll add FF13, too, because the grafix were super hyped when they started releasing pics, etc.(never played, don't intend on it lol)
There's probably a ton of others I can't remember from the 16bit-era; man they could really hide piles of shit much easier back in the day when all you had were magazine pics lol
Oh, nostalgia. I miss the good ol' days haha
Are you people saying portal just not a fan of the genre, or do you legitimately think the game wasn't good.
