Maybe if the prequels had a goal other than to be summer blockbusters and pillage the first three for things to make dolls out of, people wouldn't have such disdain for them. They literally add nothing to the mythos except things people would like to pretend aren't canon. The script is bad and the direction is bad, and when you've devoted three entire movies to what amounts to a character study that's indefensible.
Being angry with the prequels is a legitimate gripe and fans of Star Wars should be mad. George Lucas took the fact that his movies had a huge fanbase and abused it, shoveling these shitpiles out the door in a blatant move to cash in.
Which is a good segue to another point: Hating the prequels isn't as big a "bandwagon" as you'd like to think. Every time that asshole makes them worse "remasters" and reissues them they fly off shelves like stink.
Every line out of Natalie Portman's mouth in that video above was so goddamn flat. I forgot just how bad those were. May we all forget someday...
Spoiler: show
Oh crap that's the first YTMND I ever saw.

The prequel trilogy could've came with free blowjobs and rabid fans would still deem them terrible. They could've been master pieces of cinema and rabid fans would still deem them terrible. They were terrible the second they were announced.
They were terrible because they explained The Force. Not only did they EXPLAIN it, but they classified it as a FUCKING DISEASE. It's not bandwagon-ing if you have legitimate reasons to hate it.
They're terrible because they're not very well written movies. Give George Lucas his due for pioneering the technology used to make the films, and coming up with the basis of the entire universe, but as a writer and director he is just awful. He had a lot of very creative people helping (forcing) him to narrow his focus the 70's.

Nah, thats a misconception. Unless Lucas clarified it and I didn't hear. My understanding was that the midi-chlorians (which are sub-cell organisms, like mitochondria, not a disease) are merely an indication of force potential, not what give you the force potential. Just a method of measurement.
Hey nerds, shut the fuck up. No one cares about your shitty movies.
You decide whether these are related or not:
idk about equally, but I do agree it should never have been in the movie.
Also more ytmnd! http://foogtfoers.ytmnd.com/
In case anyone actually thought the prequels were watchable, this guy can explain how much of an idiot you are, but I have to assume if someone says they like 1 more than 4-6, then they are trollin
The only thing that made 1-3 even watchable was this man
John Motherfucking Williams
