when I was getting arya all I heard from everybody was omg dont put a collar on that cat cuz she could die if she gets stuck on something. That's why you'd want a break-away collar.
You fucking conformist.
Spoiler: show
edit: cat climbed over the barrier i bought, only to find this.
Maebe and pudge are getting along fucking swimmmmmingly.
I cant wait till you go to sleep and she attacks your blanket and your feet all night long
That's definitely a tortie; torties are fucking superior ladies and you made the right choice.
Spoiler: show
Throwing my hat in for Maebe name, I like it :D I'm all for original names
As for cats, mine is great o.o; he's fat and non-aggressive to the extreme. My only complaint is that the gf encourages meowing, and I don't, so he meows like hell when she's around -.- She noticed that he doesn't meow when I go to pet/brush him, and I've told her what she has to do in order to stop his meowing, but god damn, she would rather be annoyed by incessant meowing than see me be right, lol.
Here are my 2 new kittens I got today for my birthday. They are actually taking alot better than I thought to me. Them being raised outside they whole lives till now with little human interaction. Looks like they might sleep with me tonight. Oh and they are both male and I have yet to think of a name for mine. Known at the vet as noname1 and noname2

Pacco and Rocco.
You have a tortie. She'll be batshit insane. Enjoy.
Those two kittens look like grey tabbies. All the grey tabbies i've had were the sweetest cats ever. not surprised they're taking well to you.
Now half tabby, half calico cats on the other hand... those are crazy bitches. smart, but crazy. I had one that learned how to open doors, and turn on the water faucet to drink from it... drove my parents insane cause the faucet would be left dripping lol.
I had a very smart cat (her name was Fluffy - my great aunt named her before she gave her to us >_>) who brutally murdered my entire neighborhood's chipmunk population and routinely left their innards strewn across our lawn. Nothing kept her from slaughtering them all, not the fact that she was declawed nor the fact that we put a bell on her flea collar. Most of the time, we would find the collar on some bush where she purposely snagged it to get it off her.
My mom always put flea collars on my cats and none of them have ever almost accidentally killed themselves with it, but I don't doubt it can happen.
Also Vandole, both your dog and your kitten are cute as hell.
I still think you're a twat, Vandole, but you own 2 cute animals.
Don't listen to Tagus. I've had cats for 20 years and have never, ever had a cat that claws furniture. It all depends on how you raise them.
Also, no matter how cute it is, NEVER play with the kitten with your hands. It will save you a lot of pain later. If you're petting her and she starts trying to play with you, let go of her until she stops, then pet her again. Nothing hurts more than an adult cat grabbing your hand and arm to play when you're trying to pet it.
Another tip; food train her. By that I mean, if she has something she likes (be it food or toys) and act protective over it, hissing when you or the dog gets close - take it away from her, and then give it back after a while. After a few times she'll learn not to do it, and will get her less defensive and aggressive over food. This is a good way to avoid future fights between pets, and is vital if you ever plan on having kids.
Having spent probably a decade now constantly covered in scratches to the point where i look like i cut myself, i promise you lots of things hurt far more.Nothing hurts more than an adult cat grabbing your hand and arm to play when you're trying to pet it.
Oh, I know, you get used to it after a while, but it's just much easier to train the behavior away so you don't have to deal with it in the first place.
This is so important.give her a special spot up off the floor, preferably by a window
And this.start brushing her now so she gets desensitized to it
Also, getting her used to a cat carrier at a young age will help you avoid epic battles in the future.
Compressed gas duster (canned air) is a safe and effective teaching tool.
Give her a pinch of catnip from time to time. Just plain catnip, not inside a toy. That way she can actually taste it and roll in it.
Jezbus 20 a pop, how long do they last?
Give that cat a ton of attention. Best thing for a growing kitten in the long run.
