Oh fuck I completely forgot about Cornelia. I just re subbed last night, I guess I need to look her up.

I feel like campaign died for me when they removed my monks ability to tank every mob except shadowhand. After that I could barely fight one mob without dying (I think the nerf that did this was when they needed waltzes when sub job. Before that monk could get massive cures, now did like 20 hp cures super lamo )

About drawdostance I dunno if there are actual commands anymore for the config plugin. I think you need to alter the settings file for it to change drawdistance as draw distance is no longer a plugin.

I have stopped playing around 4 years ago. What would you suggest doing first (got several Level 99 jobs) to catch up and get most stuff up to date?
Shocked to see there is itemlevel now too and would like to use those (at least 14 days) as best as I can.

Get started on Records of Eminence, it'll get you caught up in a very short amount of time. Completing the tasks will set you up with gear you need to jump back in and get started.

If you are going by the estimate time it's not really as bad as that. Unless it's like update day takes all of about 4 hours to go from nothing to game download/installed and updated even with shitty Comcast. Unlikely to save much time finding and working in work arounds unless you are getting sub broadband speeds

I like that 1 - 119 guide, for one thing which is important to me especially - it doesn't assume you're automagically lv99 upon logging in.

Bahamut is so sad. The most I've seen online so far is 383, and probably 90 of those aren't bazaar mules.

Also i found doin the opposite of what SE says, and just install all the expansion packs. somewhere it said only do the main game and pol and the game will update everything else, but last time i tried that it wanted to take 14 hours or something. once i just installed everything from the installer it went super fast to update.

yeah i followed SE's instructions to only install the main game... and ignore directx 8.1.... took the better portion of 2 days to update w/all the disconnects and such, then had to go back to the installer to get directx 8.1 back on my pc.

should have known better than to actually follow SE instructions

All four of those jobs are still good to go. Af+3 has some great pieces to work towards but if were decked out before you will be fine.

Is there a MsJans/healing UI program for the game anymore? That really made playing healer tolerable back when.

I don't remember the exact name, but it was a program that showed the party list in a seperate app, as an overlay and you'd macro in actions to click heals instead of the <stpt> (or whatever it was) to do it ingame.

There might still be something like that but don't really see the need these days assuming you use windower or ashita. Between keybinds, shorthands and extended f keys not really a need for something clunky like that
