Not on Steam.
I wish this company would go bankrupt already. They'v destroyed everything that was Square and Enix itself hangs on a limb pulling all the weight.

Surely SE will deliver.
There was leaked achievements of everything before this was even announced for Steam, probably exclusive purchase from the store, and then you can take the code and stick it on Steam, that way Square takes 100% of the profits and Steam is just a handle for launching the file.

If no one gets the reference let me go through spam and find the link.
STILL GOOD
GUYS! Guys..
Spoiler: show
why the fuck do you need a 2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, and DirectX9 to run FFVII? Minimum. strikes me as quite strange.
You probably don't need that kind of system. I'm guessing it's their estimate of what the worst possible gaming system still being used in the 21st century would look like and has nothing to do with the demands of the game on your system resources. Let's be honest, you aren't running that weak a system unless it's your grandma's laptop for Farmville and Angry Birds.
When they say 2 ghz, they're probably thinking along the lines of a pentium 4. 1 gb of ram is just for windows 7.
According to the link posted earlier you've got that backwards.
The problems came from SE having no clue how to make a PC game and the fact that the source code for the game was gone, all they had to work with was the compiled PS1 game.Edios bought the rights to publish FF7 for the PC for a cool million bucks. Square contracted out the port team in Honolulu. (Unlike what people think, Square did the port, not Edios. Edios was just a publisher who gained the rights to the game.)

Unrelated:
I'd like it if they rebalanced the game overall, one of the problems I always had with VII was that it's just too easy. Cure+All for each character, up to date weapons, and some HP materia was all you needed to breeze thru the game spamming nothing but attacks and limits. Slap a cover materia and a bunch of counter attacks on your char of choice and the game beat itself. Enemy Skill materia made virtually all magic/summon materia invalid in a single slot and required no lvling and came with no penalties. If you've never done a no-materia playthrough and are looking for a reason to replay the game I recommend giving it a try, it's much easier than it sounds and only emphasizes my point.
Would be nice if they either changed or added a hard mode option that nerfed/limited certain things or just made enemies harder in general. That said, I have no expectation of them doing it, I bet you they don't even fix the existing, known bugs the game had since PS1 launch (20$ says Mdef from armor still doesn't do anything).
That's the reason I feel like 36 achievements is way too few. I bet a good dozen of them or more are purely story progression. The rest could easily be the rest of the basic hidden bosses/collect all crap/side quests/lv.99/win-fail events/gold saucer dates/minigames/etc.
They could come up with a whole lot more just with all the random challenges people have come up with in the past 15 years of obsessing over the game.
I'm sure it's going to be the annoying "You've completed the first chapter, here's a cookie!" type of achievements.
