IDk which one of either Minecraft, Mario Kart 8, Skyrim or Breath of The Wild could be considered Shooters... but one of them falls under the category if you're saying 17/20.

This reminds me of all the fun I had playing guitar hero and rock band in the aughts.

Really surprising to see GHIII at number one because Rock Band 2 was the vastly superior game and they came out around the same time.

RB1 came out a month after GH3, and GH3 was already riding the wave of GH1-2 plus Activision's marketing budget, and being cheaper to play the 'whole' kit, vs wanting a mic and drums for RB1.
In either case, Harmonix employees (and former) probably happy to see two series they started made the US list. Shame about the current state/luck of that company though.

Daybreak Games today announced its “Franchise First” initiative in the form of a business structure that establishes three new individual creative franchise studios -- Dimensional Ink Games, Darkpaw Games and Rogue Planet Games. Building on the success of the teams that introduced genre-defining games and franchises including DC Universe Online, EverQuest and PlanetSide, this business model is the result of a long-term strategy designed to amplify the existing franchises while enabling each studio to further foster its unique identity, community and culture.

By allowing the identities of each of these studios to thrive under their individual studios, each team will have the flexibility to continue their work developing current and upcoming games, recruiting new talent and building upon the legacy of their respective franchises.

Dimensional Ink Games in Austin develops and operates DC Universe Online, the one-of-a kind DC Super Hero-based MMORPG enjoyed by millions across PC and consoles. Dimensional Ink will be led by Jack Emmert, the mastermind behind City of Heroes, Star Trek Online, and Neverwinter. The studio will continue to support DCUO while developing its next high-profile action MMO project starting in 2020.

“Crafting iconic MMORPG experiences has always been Daybreak’s lifeblood,” said Emmert. “We intend to continue that legacy and grow Dimensional Ink, Darkpaw Games and Rogue Planet Games into the future. Darkpaw Games will be focusing on EverQuest, one of the most legendary MMORPG IPs recognized worldwide. Holly Longdale will continue to lead the studio as its Executive Producer. Focus Home Interactive and Blackbird Interactive Announce New Partnership

Focus Home Interactive, publishers of World War Z, Greedfall, A Plague Tale: Innocence, and many more, are delighted to announce their partnership with Blackbird Interactive, creators of Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak and the upcoming Homeworld 3, on a new project. Set in an original IP and combining Focus Home’s love of innovative, new experiences with Blackbird’s deep knowledge and enjoyment of sci-fi settings, the upcoming game is sure to delight and intrigue audiences when it is unveiled at PAX East next month.

Blackbird Interactive is an independent Vancouver-based studio formed of game development veterans, with multiple titles in development. In 2016 Blackbird released the critically acclaimed RTS Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, which Gamespot called “a real-time strategy masterpiece”. In 2018 the company released the free educational Mars base simulation Project Eagle, in association with NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. They are currently hard at work on the recently announced Homeworld 3, as well as a number of other titles.
