I think what Welt is trying to say is that playing online does not rule you out from being a top player, but not playing offline does.

It's not like all of your skill and practice is lost once you step out of the online realm into offline. You can only really practice your combos and setups offline, and there's some ryu/zero player that's been gaining attention that predominantly played online and blew a lot of people up offline recently. I mean, for me I only played online, and took out many people offline when I started going to tournaments. It's a lot harder to adapt from offline to online than it is from online to offline

I decided yesterday I wanted to get to 4,000 for first time since Super was released, yay only took 1 day of trying:

So, in other news: Cammy has won the last 3 majors all by 3 different players.

What did all 3 have in common? They were considerably worse than the people they beat in Top 8/Grand Finals to achieve that goal!

I understand that, but I'm saying I got all of my practice in online, never really played anyone offline, and as soon as I went to a tourney I did rather well.

I was an online player due to not being able to go out much and I"ll be the first to say online is ass. Good for learning your match-ups though til you get those people that abuse shit that they'd never get away with offline.

You're talking about Tayson who is from Florida. He started as an online warrior but he didnt start winning anything until he levelled his game up offline. He goes to more south florida events than me. He doesn't strictly play online at all, thats just where he got his start.
