Still, I see his logic. In a perfect world (that still has muderous rampage-killers), everyone would whip out their sidearms as soon as they see the door kicked open, and the gunman would find himself staring at least 40 various firearms. If he shoots, they shoot back, and in a perfect world, no one will miss-fire or hit someone else in a panic, and it won't turn into an absolute bloodbath. Or they shoot first, and someone else hears a shot so they shoot, and the guy winds up getting shot about 300 times before getting off a good shot.
...Or something. Trying to wrap logic around mass murderers and a world where most-everyone is constantly walking around with guns is terribly difficult. It sounds like the Congo, and I don't like the Congo. This whole situation sucks.
