I don't think anything about this contest implied that the ring would/should have anything to do with Legacy accounts or pre-ARR at all. They only mentioned that the top-3 winners would get their own ring.

I hate the Legacy Ring... mostly because I've grown tired of Dalamud being the center of everything and this contest didn't really have anything to do with it.
I love the Reforged Aetheryte Ring a lot... the most generally FF feelin' of them all.
I really like the Chocobond Ring, but it's too... Gridanian-looking when I feel like these shouldn't be tied to any specific sub-theme.

lol, Of course. Give the current player base the option of a ring that will glorify them and only them for the entire future of the game, and that will win..
I think it looks neat from here, although I do get a pimple/scab vibe from it.. I am happy the green one got in though, very pretty!

The other runner-up (aetherite ring) looks amazing also. It's unfortunate that the final product will probably look nowhere near as ornate owing to texture size constraints, however.
