Unless something is found in the .dats I'm going to guess the current instance only monsters will start roaming the land.
Or they're adding those mobs that have been in the .dats for a while now.

The stones of the twelve are now targetable. Using /pray makes me lose target (unlike all other emotes), but nothing happens.

You have to activate the quest "Living on a Prayer" which sends you to pray at those locations.

Also Atomos was right on top of Ever Lakes. He's a monster but you can't target him and there was also an imp and skeleton there. I'm guessing it's part of a live event but I can't tell because the server kicked me out lol.

I was genuinely curious how they would write in this encounter. Pretty lame that they took the "this makes no sense, just enjoy it" disclaimer route. Nobody is going to enjoy it, SE. It will either be easy, or incredibly frustrating due to your shitty servers. The game does not allow for anything in between, and most people just want a reason to look forward to 2.0. Skimping on lore NOW isn't it.

There is plenty of lore in this patch, just not in that one quest.

Holy flying fuck, anyone done the Van Darnus (Hard) yet?

I've only done it once so far, and I still don't know what the hell is going on. You start out on Van Darnus stage 2, but he immediately goes into Megaflare stance and meteors fall (but he stayed on the bottom floor). 1~2 minutes later, he jumped in the air, everybody took ~5,000 damage and we died.

Edit 1: Going in for round two. Going to try sending some people up to the top platform to see if they still take damage from it.

Edit 2: Nope, you'll get hit just as hard no matter where you are. We're now thinking it's just a DPS-check and his Megaflare damage is based off of how long it takes you to get him low enough to use Megaflare. We're going to try putting more DPS on him (while still keeping the two BLMs on meteors).
