Also, in this screenshot, below your HP/MP/TP bars notice a small buff icon, another one above your tp in the small UI in the upper-left.

Coordinates below mini map which is also nifty.

The EXP bar at the top in that one SS says 0/550000 which is exactly 5 times what is is now. I wonder if they are going to make leveling more difficult or just increase SP gains by a ton.
What? it doesnt say 0/550000, it says 56/550000. That almost suggests a level cap raise. That or its going to cap at one exp til 51 now.

This things called a... Desukuroo? It's written in katakana, so i guess it's a foreign word... but im trying to wrap my head around what it's called in english. Then again, it might be referring to something else and not being the monsters name.
It almost looks like a demon wall in a way. Certainly not something you'd want to meet in a narrow corridor with it facing you anyways.
::Edit:: aha! google search found an example of it in final fantasy wiki. it's a deathclaw, a final fantasy III monster!
Certainly looks okay, but we knew that already. Gotta see how it plays, and that can't come soon enough at this point. Hopefully the right side of the screen doesn't end up flooded with more "Kill 10 X" quest trackers. I know Yoshi said they were shifting towards quest-based progression.. but that's definitely not the way to do it in 2012.
Female Roe's look like Wendy Williams;/ The UI definitely looks slick, and I'm glad they changed the text bubbles. I'm excited by the Lalafell rse, looks super cute.
Looks amazing, but yeah it seems unfortunately thats the kind of questing they had in mind. Who knows though, time will tell, we know there are going to be systems in place where you can cross realms to help with quest objectives and quickly find groups so they don't necessarily have to all be very basic solo quests... Would be fun to get some group quests with boss battles out on the field.
Edit: Also the roes look amazing, may roll one come 2.0 over a Lala.
Edit2: i'm sure you probably can, but I hope the UI colour scheme can be changed. I like the layout generally but it would be nice to change that grey into something lighter/transparent.
Considering exp per level just quintupled, it looks like they're going for a flat exp system. In other words, everything will give EXP regardless of level. You could kill a bajillion lv2 mobs to level.
Jumping chocobos, makes sense.
Enemy party in UI. Middle left. seems pretty nifty for group fights.
Also alphabets next to their name when there are a few of them.
Someone mentioned item being dragged on screen. Most likely drag drop interface for equipment.. And items sorted as bags.
Also yes, deathclaw. FF5 mob
New screens look refreshing. Also like the clean and simple menu popups. Cant wait for live action tomolo.
I don't know what to say. I was patient before, but I shall join the masses.
This cannot come fast enough.
OMG! That church / sky looking building.... Squeeeeeeeee!

So much to take in, so little time and so much work to do!!
i know i've said that i won't be suckered in with the pretty pictures after v1.0 but gdi i can't help myself damn you SE..damn you
That's a pretty wild guess to make based only on something like that.
And no, I don't think so, I'm sure they know it's not a good stuff.
One of my biggest non game-mechanics gripes was the map copy-pasting everywhere, guess they solved that.
I guess. But we can only speculate on their reasoning for changing EXP. I'm more interested in why the numbers quintupled. Surely they'd not make leveling five times harder for new players and surely they'd not just multiply all EXP values by 5 for the sake of it.
Yeah I saw lots of grains of sand that looked the same too. And that bloody grass in the Shroud screenshots, I'm sure I saw a couple of blades that looked the same.
Look damn good. Loving that revamped UI.
