A purely personal and ego driven suggestion.. Forum needs more awareness about the BG Blog -- need more people to read the reviews. Perhaps a PSA program to tell people how reading BG blogs will prevent melting of eyes.

Here's a feature suggestion:
-Avatar roulette: You can upload 3 (can be 2, can be more) pictures to be used as your avatar and everytime you post the avatar is randomly chosen from the picture pool, to avoid broken links the avatars can be named [userid][avatar001].png/whatever and everytime you upload / replace an avatar it just gets changed for those, or since I think the pages are dynamically generated, just pick an avatar and link it, you'd end up with the same poster with different avatars on the same page but eh.
-The same can be done for signatures but, since the signature can be made of linked pictures instead of uploaded to the server, I don't think that would be used much/at all.
Request:
I'd like to have as much of the page as possible hidden or with a hide option, like the subforums do, I really dont care / see ever the similar threads, online users, posting permissions
Can you fix the BG Bucket, it wont allow .bmp files to be uploaded (unless im missing something?)
I'd like to request Borderlands 2 be added to the upcoming events box on the right tab.
With the chat client, perhaps adding in to the room list, either a last post time to the name, or some kind of "idle marker".
I was going to say do a separation of devposts/discussion in the FFXI news section like FFXIV did, but after checking that section. I see the experiment died.
Though, maybe separation isn't the right thing. Dunno how difficult it would be, but, maybe make a tag or something that mirrors devposts from the main thread, to the non-discussion thread (or the other way round, automatically mirror them to the discussion thread).
So far it'd only be me using it, and not majorly until the big stuff from earlier this year gets released thus really opening the floodgates, but a Kickstarter/Crowdfunding tag might have a use (The jobs bill this year authorized/required the SEC to start writing up formal crowdfunding stuff by next year, we're only going to see more of it as time goes by, since current funding systems are more of a legal hack then anything).
And perhaps a stipulation, if YOU are posting a funding effort that you are a part of, it should go in the BST section (and do something to increase the visibility to non BST checkers.)
Spoiler: show
A list that shows people who were recently banned and has links that take you to the post they were banned for would be nice. It would mean i no longer have to ask why that nigga got bant for
Not trying to be snarky, but who actually uses .bmps? png/jpg take much less space, allowing bitmaps would lessen the potential amount of images we could host.
How about a year round donation system which we can pay $5 every time we want to change titles? I'd imagine it'd raise money year round lessening the burden during donation drive
Personally I'd like the search function made a bit more user-friendly. I search for a specific phrase, and instead of a list of posts containing that phrase I get entire topics.
Unless I r dum and i'm just doing it wrong?
There's a thing to click in that lets you choose between results being displayed as threads or as individual posts.Personally I'd like the search function made a bit more user-friendly. I search for a specific phrase, and instead of a list of posts containing that phrase I get entire topics. <br />

I would not have thought it would be hard to find someone to run a twitter account lol
couple ideas to keep it active; Tweet about:
New threads( I wouldn't expect every thread, but when a "quality" one gets posted, tweet it)
Breaking news (might be superfluous but sometimes you might reach things first with a tweet I know I check twitter more often than USA today)
Celebrity Death thread announcements
Pick an image or 2 from RIT (again deemed quality or OC)
Same as RIT but with the Youtube
Poopdeck thread if there is a good debate going (idk if this ever happens though)
Random Questions(can do from GD, Tech, FFXI, etc.)
Random deals from Tech/Vidya/ etc.
Bentertainment Geekly announcements ( New movie/tv/book/music announcements/cancelations/ news)
Buy Sell Trade (new ad postings "Check out what X is selling" or w/e)
Gaming Industry news
FFXI news (if it were ages ago i'd suggest pointing out the drama threads)
FFXI Media (Choose a pic or 2 from a thread that might be particularly interesting, say an actual high dmg pic, super gimp, or 99 afterglow etc.)
lolFFXIV stuff
Point out most active thread/poster/forum for the day/week/month/year whatever
Random forum stats everyone enjoys those
Random facts you may have found about politics/gd oriented/vidya
just tossing out ideas
edit: for things like "throwback Thursday" tweet about an old thread, like when drama threads were good, old RIT stuff, precursors to the PP, or something. naturally the thread would be locked to prevent a necro but I think that might be fun ( do 1 a day so they don't get all used up)
This might already exist and I just haven't found it, but is there a feature that let's you track treads you like to frequent so you can keep on top of them without having to go into each subforum and see if there are new posts to read? And I don't mean the subscriptions, I don't want a bunch of notifications on my phone or in my email. I'm thinking like something you could click on in the header of each thread to add them to a track list and then that list could display on the sidebar or at the top of the forums, and also maybe in your profile, as links so you could just jump into the thread.
