Everything Kojima does has at least some level of trolling it. But with the general trend of the thread, it seems this voice change is simply a necessity because of the nature of the series moving forward (ie: BB and Solid Snake will run into each other down the road, and it would be weird to have the same voice). They probably figured now is as good a time as any to switch, with BB's coma as a potential explanation for the voice change.

So at this point I really have no idea (if the above is true), but unless BB was in another coma at some time previous to the jump between GZ and TPP, Les Enfant Terribles took place while he was conscious.

It would fit the timeline for Phantom Pain to take place during the Mozambican Civil War. It's around this same time-frame he was supposedly captured and tortured with his nose and ears cut off until he was eventually "saved" by Big Boss.

peace walker is on psn for ps3. there will be some exposition in ground zeroes that goes over the important parts

Definitely agree on this one, if for no other reason the jarring camera/mechanics differences when you hit 1/2 compared to the over the shoulder system for the other games.

Playing in order also makes Big Boss an even better character imo (as if that's possible) Hearing about him in 1 and 2, thinking of him as this menacing bad guy. Then seeing the events unfold that make him into the man he is. God damn I love Big Boss and I love the fact that he is now the main character of more MGS games then Solid Snake is.
