PS Blog confirmed it as coming to PS3 - http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/...coming-to-ps3/

For all we know though, it could be 'ported' to PS4/720 with the better visuals turned on, kinda like when the 360 was new and got upgraded ports on multi-plat games.

Just absolutely stunning. The fact that it's open world gives it so much more possibility. I have a sneaking (teehee) suspicion half my time will be spend running around doing random shit GTA-style.

Can the PS3 really run this shit? And it's hard to see it coming to the 360 when they kept complaining that MGS4 was just too much to put on a 360.
If this gets drawn out for more than a year or so, they'll probably announce it for PS4/720.

Metal Gear Solid series creator, Hideo Kojima, shared at his Penny Arcade Expo talk today, that the title of the next major Metal Gear game refers to an origin.

“Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes” is meant to evoke the feeling of the original Metal Gear Solid in the Fox Engine. Kojima says he’s creating this game personally, himself.

Ground Zeroes isn’t Metal Gear Solid 5, however. Instead, Kojima says it’s a prologue to Metal Gear Solid 5.
