Since when did we use the whole, "It's alpha/beta!!!!11" warcry for singleplayer games? When you put out a trailer, it's because you are confident enough in what you have to show, especially when the trailer is put out during a rather large "off-season" for game information.
For anyone other than Square-Enix i'd agree with you, but they apparently didn't get that memo. I mentioned the FFXIV ARR Alpha trailer (one of the first ones they released that everyone was chalking up to a bad youtube compression) looked roughly as bad, but the later trailers and the alpha version itself doesn't look anything like that piece of shit trailer. I'm assuming they are doing roughly the same thing and it'll be improved in later trailers and demonstrations. The other thing is that this isn't an "official" release, it's a "leaked" trailer, so maybe it was never meant for advertising.
lolol
Crisis Core: LIGHTNING RETURNS - Kill all Atheist Edition.
Who put Assassin's Creed in my Final Fantasy?
Yes it does. Where have you guys been for the past few months? This thread alone is full of "show me gameplay" requests and it's been this way everywhere ever since the game was announced.
It's not even an excuse, it's a fact. The game is nowhere near done and it's only been in development for 5-6 months.
Also remember that "horrible" trailer for ARR? Turns out it wasn't the game.
Trailer looks awesome, as expected.
The "deal with it" shades were a nice touch.
Combat system still using action time bar to eat time for move sets, pass.
I like the fact that it's there too. The paradigms are probably the only thing that truly connects all 3 XIII titles gameplay wise and is a further evolution. Really didn't need to toss that out for a new system (unlike say X2) so glad it stays
I remember holding the X button and not paying attention whatsoever because "Attack" spam would do all the rest when playing PSX FF games.
I also remember having to switch paradigms pretty often because I needed buffs, debuffs and support else stuff would be downright untouchable when playing FFXIII and XIII-2.
Clearly we must have played different versions of the same game.
The point is, if there were no limitations (MP, AP, TP, muffinP, ATB bar segments, etc.) this would be an action game, not an action RPG.
Last time I checked SE makes the latter category, not the former, thus complaining that Lightning's action are limited by something is incredibly stupid.
