My complaint: I'm really struggling to enjoy playing the game itself. I can't really point to any one thing and say "I hate this" but it just doesn't seem to be grabbing my interest. It just feels a little too repetitive.
Also, ranger pets are boring. They're functional, but not interesting. There's little variation and no customization, aside from the name... but the pets are so boring I find it hard to give a shit what my pets are named. Compare this to my Hunter on WoW, where I maxed out my stable and gave each one a unique name, spent hours looking for the right skin, and sometimes waffle back and forth on which one to get. In GW2 its just... oh i got X.
Yknow, that kinda highlights what I don't like about the game as a whole: It just feels boring. I mean, they did a LOT of cool shit that I thought was really good game design, but somehow it just loses its shine after a few days and doesn't seem to get it back.
Complaint - WvWvW coin tokens are way too f'ing hard to get... They need to give you a coin for taking a Supply Hut, Normal Tower, and Factions, two for taking a Keep, and 5 for taking the SM Keep. Up the drop rate some too, when you kill players.
No one runs dungeons, ever?
463 seems to be the number in the cheevo log. So about a 1:5 ratio.
I feel like people constantly whining for capes don't realize the skeletal mesh hell it'd be to outright avoid clipping. Then multiply that by dozens, possibly hundreds of people onscreen and probably most any current game engine would explode. I can forgive it some in armors because it'd mean animation teams would have to add conditions to animations in case your arms or whatever couldn't quite move as they normally would to avoid such, but in general, I'd say shoulder pads and "skirts" are the most notorious for this kind of stuff, with stuff more like robes being a sample of how shitty capes can be without enough weight points to bend around and such the moving models they cover at the legs. Unsurprisingly, both of these areas are where movement is frequent and can vary.
For the sake of my OCD they need to fix the level 50+ zones. Getting cock blocked on map completion by a bunch of glitches.
That's pretty much concern #1 for everybody I think. 50+ content needs to be fixed asap.
I guess I've been largely fortunate there. Only have 2 SPs bugged of all I came across (Only have the last zone and WvWs left) and had one mission where the dolyak I was escorting wound up getting stuck in a tree somehow, but restarting fixed it. Water combat and invulnerable mobs is still one of my major gripes, though, and I know I hadn't pulled them out of their wandering paths.
@Arus: No one said it'd be easy, but stop putting capes and cloaks on every artwork if you're not going to put them in the game. RVR loading screen = capes. Instanced PVP BG zone loading screens = capes or scarves.
Its a random complaint. Even WoW had their little tiny baby cloaks, and I was especially hyped to see some cloak in-game after I saw how well the physics were for the swindler's coat. Its already damn-near a cloak; you could just throw one of those over the back of a mail armor set and I'd be fine with it.
I'd punch babies for guild cloaks/capes and i don't care how much clipping is involved.
^ This. I've had clipping in every modern game I've ever played. Clipping, shitty ragdoll physics, whatever. Put them in, make like WoW with an option to turn them off if you don't like it, and everyone's happy.
Stay true to the source material, Anet. D:
I don't think they can't not add capes. I'm sure there's more than enough people who want it, we just need to make a fuss through the official channels.
Guesting still not up. Can just swap servers temporarily, once guesting is enabled they're gonna disable free transfers though.
