I also found that funny.
My father was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer that spread to his liver, kidneys, and spinal cord. He was initially told that wouldn't live more than three months. He made it two years before he passed away. The last two months he said that food had lost all it's flavor. He could only walk short distances so anytime we left the house he was in a wheelchair. The pain from the tumors along his spine was so intense that we had to lower him into bed. He began retaining water so we took him into the hospital for a routine procedure to drain it. That's when the wheels fell off. He was disoriented, combative, and acting like another person. He was in agony to the point of screaming constantly. They put him into a medically induced coma. We waited for a week for him pass, hoping for him to wake up and have just a few minutes of lucidity so we could all have an actual goodbye with him.
So while I don't particularly care for half of what Day posts, I do appreciate what he is going through. All joking aside cancer is one of the only things that will get an honest, legitimate reaction from me. Take it for what it is, sympathy from someone who's been through it.
And sorry for the way late response, been working on the house all weekend.
Someone put this thread of of its misery now, fucking cancer support group in here.
