Pretty sure the NPC was pulled because they noticed people were converting clusters into dawn drops into gil for basically free. If they removed the NPC due to the mass amount of seals being earned, I think they would have pulled it a lot sooner.

We have determined that the "Atomos" monsters located throughout the game are causing an imbalance in loot drops. In order to address this issue, we are making a number of changes to the conditions required to receive the "Over-aspected Cluster" and "Over-aspected Crystal" drops.

Additionally, until these balance adjustments have been completed, the following Grand Company Seal distributing NPCs will be temporarily unavailable. We will post an update as soon as the changes have been implemented.

It would seem you cant get clusters anymore (1 time deal?). Atomos is a bit harder to kill and he actively spawns minions.

Yeh seems that way, or it's just alot rarer now. Wish I stayed up a bit longer to get some more seals now, spent another 30k seals before I went to bed D:
Back to chocobo escorts then I guess! Once event is over anyway, be nice to have close to 50k seals saved up ready for 2.0 launch

Do you still get crystals or did they remove those as well? I'm guessing cluster/crystals only drop from minions now anyway so they pretty much fucked up the whole thing. I'm never gonna claim anything with that lag so might as well give up and back to caravan spam.

Got 7 crystals from an examine so maybe a slight adjustment on that part, still getting the usual flee/heavy/anima.

[NA] Patch 1.23b Hotfixes (Sep. 14)
The following changes have been made to the loot of Atomos.
- Over-aspected cluster can only be obtained as a loot upon the first defeat of Atomos.
- After the first defeat, the amount of over-aspected crystals will increase.

There you have it. They didn't eliminate the seal gain entirely, but they did slow it down somewhat.

well that's unfortunate. I was hoping they would just make the GC stuff unsellable. That also means you have to choose between a one time raisega and 3k seal lol.

Still good seal farming with just the crystals though, just not as ridiculous as it was before with the 100% chance at 3k seals per kill and random chance at 1k+ thereafter.

OF is saying crystals are rare, anyone here done enough post patch to compare it to before to now? I was only making like 6k/hr before due to the lag, am I going to be able to get at least 4k?

Doing it this morning I got like 5 and then 7 crystals from a single pop. no more clusters puts a damper on my plans
