Dawn drops have been there since the dawn of GC. The problem isn't dawn drops; it's Atomos farting out seals that anybody can get, even people who show up just to inspect the voidstone.

You realize the dawn drops have been there for ages right? And they've had the same NPC price for ages right? You could have traded in 55,000 seals for them last week too.

The only thing different now is the rate at which you can accrue seals, and it's happening for EVERYONE.

Has anyone else experienced this? When the message appeared, I briefly zoned but reappeared in the same place. This occured when I checked the Voidstone for the second or third time, and was accompanied by 5 over-aspected crystals.

Seems to happen often when I get 5 crystals from it, I assume its just to fuck with us.

Answered my own question about where the hell Atomos was, I forgot he can roam.

Idk if it's just at certain camps or if he just does it if left alone long enough, I would assume the former since Brittlebark is always packed to hell.

By design, I'd say. They want as many people as possible to finish the storyline, and that means seals for rank-up. Caravans would be bottlenecked to hell approaching November if this weren't happening. There are of course, fringe benefits of this policy to us the players.

Thats how I see it also. SE is giving everyone the chance to do whatever they need to do with seals before the server closes down. Be it finish missions, buy GC gear, 25k relic key items, chocobo barding or simply burn em however you please.

Its a chore to buy drops to sell but if you are dedicated enough, its roughly 250k per cluster/3k seals.
