    By that logic all equipment before the gear rehash was designed for fashion and not function. It was certainly designed poorly and stat distribution was stupid as shit much of the time (which is why it was rehashed to begin with) but it wasn't vanity gear (nvm that every gear model used then now has a non-dated iteration afaik).
    Actons are underutilized in my opinion.

    Considering we're going to see level sync in the future we're obviously going to need gear scaling to go with it, they should just go back to optimal level for all gear and apply the same scaling principle.

    Actons are there, they're just not useful.

    Blame the lost fashion customization potential on materia, it could have been the perfect solution.

Yoshi's translated post hints at items changing value, he's probably seen how expensive double melded relic items are and has something in mind to make them more affordable, IE by increasing the rate accuracy materia is created.

    By the way does anyone remember in beta when all gil rewards and NPC prices were multiplied by 10? Gil used to hold the value it will do, but for some reason they decided this game should play with bigger numbers.

    Not to derail this thread but the usual mouth-breathers on the boards are now bitching about the lack of ammo for ARC/BRDs. Obviously this news is godlike to anyone with half a brain.

    I think it's assumption because consumable ammo was previously their go-to excuse for not adding a ranged auto-attack. (I have yet to see a source, but it seams plausible.)

    No source but the excuse for why there is no AA for range weapon was always "Don't want to fire away arrows without input from player". Plus I don't remember a button/click being used in the live letter other then right clicking the enemy issue auto-attack for Archer.

    The Archer in the live letter still punched the mob. Thought it was funny because the bowpunch did more damage than the shot.

    I never played WoW so I can't really say for sure whether WoFF is good or bad, but ( `-`) Yoshi P's got this thing cold. I've got high hopes. Bring on ARR!

    But we'll be shooting magical arrows then! I demand lore to explain why we can now magically materialize infinite arrows or just turn ARC/BRD into a DoM!

    Either way the ranged AA was in the live letter, Yoshi-P showed it off. You still punch when the mob gets too close otherwise you shoot from afar (if you check carefully there's no ability on recast while he's shooting which means Light Shot is gone now).

    I just think it's a nice opportunity to replace the individual consumable arrows with infinite-capacity quivers that alter your attacks damage/speed/element/etc. (as someone mentioned).
