Gameplay looks, in my opinion, worse since we got to see more people in action and the flaws really stand out. The running in place was really bad and was happening often.

Worse compared to what we saw at the 25th Anni event, not 1.0.

Any videos out yet? Missed the whole second half which seems to have been the juicy part. To make it worse BG Bucket it blocked in work!

They've already said they're going to run the beta as long as they have to, to get it polished so I wouldn't worry about all that right now.

Worrying about SE is the last thing I'm doing now, what with a new guy at the helm and GW2 (and Shogun!) to keep me busy.

I'll check it out whenever I get my beta invite, knock on wood.

Worked for me and I really appreciate it!

Even after watching it, I still don't get the new crafting and gathering systems. I hope I get into the beta so I can relearn everything before it goes live again.

I am excite. This looks like an entirely new game.

For the record, the chocobo costumes are a little too silly... They could have been a lot more subtle.

Running in place aside there's no lag or delay with your own abilities and the new casting animations are great.
Crafting and gathering are also much better and there were a bunch of new animations that were missing in previous gameplay videos.

I think some (yes just some) of the running in place happens when a char is standing still but turns. It's like they don't have an animation for it yet.
