I really need to get started on this game, lol ive been getting distracted by the PS3 lately though. The updates to the system and the game though are getting me to play the Wii U more.

Oddly enough, when I went to transfer my save to 3DS for the 100th time, my Wii U wouldn't send the save. Luckily a hard power off via the Gamepad and back on and the save was still fine and able to transfer. So many kinds of problems that Stygian caused...

I will be MIA during the day tomorrow, but should be around tomorrow afternoon/evening if anyone wants to hunt! Hopefully Samalis is back soon and all four of us can get some stuff done.

Yeah my internet kinda shit the bed there. Dude was limping though so I just captured him and called it a day, lol. I'm working on getting all the commodities from moga woods right now, since there's an award for doing so apparently. Got a list going (since the game doesn't track that shit for you...) and getting some good use out of my plesioth set. Also got the rest of my masks I was missing, so that's a bonus. May make some pumpkin armor since I'm quickly running out of things to trade to the captain...also stocking the fuck up on some pitfall traps 5 at a time, lol. I now have 131 of them and counting >.> God this game is horrible for my hording tendencies, lol.

Great Sword user - Is anything ever going to replace my HR Lagi armor before G Rank? Flirted with Rath Soul but the second ruby is being Subborn. What are some good G-Rank full-sets? Eying Niblesnarf stuff.

I am literally on the same boat as you but stuck offline. From the looks of things, we don't get any of our real good skills til g rank which annoys me because it wasn't like that before. Just use armor that gives you attack+, expert really and make sure you have decent defense since you'll inevitably get hit doing a bad positioned charge attack.

EDIT: Well, let me ask you: What Great Swords are you using and what are you aiming for? I want a few different elements in the end. Currently using a Blue Wing and have been considering a Lagia for lightning and either a Plesioth or Anchorus for my Water.

If you get Rusty Shards can you get any of those weapons or are you limited by your charm table? Might pick up an Epitaph blade to hold me over, or maybe replace the Auberon/Zinogre Dragon element. (I forgot the pecking order.)

To my understanding the consensus on great swords is raw > Jesus Christ himself, to the point where nearly everyone with maths know how will tell you that Cera Cymmetry (1488 raw) is the best, even with it's -20% affinity.

Edit: lol I love when this game rewards shitty play. Just had the worst played Nargax3 run ever. I carted twice somehow. Carved 3 mantles from 3 of them...it's like giving gimps ridills up in here.

I can help. He's kind of a prick, but he's a total candy ass outside of rage mode. You can basically just avoid him when he goes all splodey on you and take it slow. I'll make a game like, nao.

Yeah, this is basically how I fight him as well. When he goes into rage mode I stay the fuck away from him as much as possible. Get in a few hits every now and then but it is always pretty dangerous. Then when he is calm attack his feet so he falls over, allowing you to wail on him.

Buy, yeah, I'm wondering what my endgame options would be for an array fo elemental great swords, or at least what I should be using towards the end of High Rank quests.

That's true, crit draw now gives +100% affinity. So if you have -20%, crit draw gives you 80%, but even with that a lot of people still say that's the best great sword. Maybe they're just slow to adapt, idk. Only great sword of note I even have is a Blade of Tartarus (1344 raw, 320 dragon awakened, purple sharpness with handicraft, 2 slots). Very solid sword with the appropriate skills and it's primarily junk parts of monsters and bones, so it's very easy to make.

Nearly got my light bowguns I want made and ready to go. Just need some Barioths for my ice, Plesioth for water, and I.Lagi for thunder (though I'm rethinking that one...I may want the Zinogre/A.lagi one if only for more raw), and B.Giggi for decorations. Then I shall be ready to gun all the things but probably still too apprehensive to actually gun all the things, lol. Oh and armor spheres. So many armor spheres...

Edit: Bored as fuck at work and watching videos, lol.

I need this set, lol. Shame I basically farmed everything I need from goldbeard already unless I wanted to get his Z gunner set for shits and grins.

See. sometimes this game doesn't totally hate me. Had some time today that I normally don't on Mondays so jumped in to some L.Narga farms. Super efficient team, myself and another person on Hunting Horn buffing all over the place. In a few hours I had 4 more Mantles and 2 more Moonshards. That kind of luck is a once a month kinda thing for me...

Now I just have to decide what to do with them =(

I managed to snag 2 Dynamos from the 3 Abyssal lagi runs we did. I need a cloudy moonshard to make the full set of lagi armor though. Looks like its time for more lucent narga nightmares. Wooooooo...

I soloed a couple G Rank Azures tonight because I decided that it wouldn't be a bad set to have for SA. That, that is what I did for the majority of the fight.

It's funny. I feel like you and I are pretty even when it comes to playtime, but you are so much more focused than I am. I have half of about 10 diifferent sets, 9 of every damn weapon path started and still... when it gets serious, and I need to kill something, I have the same damn Helios X/Z Set that I have had for days and days. I did finish my Mizar's Asterism tonight though, and promptly realized "Hey, I could really use a more SA-centric set to go with this." And so the ADHD continues.
