So hyped for this game, my next big korean MMORPG. Will be playing on the korean servers, not letting western publishers ruin me another good korean MMO with their westernization.

Well it certainly has an extremely good character creator!
That is pretty phenomenal. Want to play it just to mess around w/that
what's the skill/class system like? maybe i missed it. i hope they don't lock you into narrow fields; i want a game where i can do a little bit of everything all at once.
New Combat teaser for CB2
WTB NA publisher
That combat looks like shit to me. Melee, ranged dps, and magic dps looked like they played almost exactly the same.
The combat looks pretty much exactly like Tera with flashier animations and better graphics. Visually looks really great to me and it makes me sad that this will be yet another Korean fail.
While i'm a big fan of great character creators, the combat seemed a little too much. Way too much camera shake for me.
I'm more interested in how group play works and if there are a variety of classes. I somehow doubt either will be any good but you never know.
Non-combat features for CB2
Linking Introduced
http://www.siliconera.com/2014/04/15...-black-desert/Developers Pearl Abyss have shown off a new combat feature for their MMO Black Desert—wave-linking battle formation skills.
The skill has other players linking themselves to one character who’s then able to perform a much more powerful version of some of their skills. It’s part of the battle formation system. The warrior’s slash turns into a sonic wave-style attack, for example, while the sorceress chucks a big ball of negative energy.
It even appears it’s possible to link back to each other to form a protective sort of shield barrier against attacks from foes. This is based on the shape of the laser linking light show.
Considering the real-time combat action of the game, this sort of “cheering the guys on” idea sounds pretty neat, but think about how it might work say, in raids. Boss about to smash the main tank into mush? Link and shield up. Or link for massive bonus damage when the time is right. One of the big bugbears of online games is that parties needed the “Holy Trinity”–Tank, Healer, Damage dealer. Wave-linking might be an innovative way to get around that limitation.
We’re not sure if this is an available feature in player-versus-player (that might be overpowered), or if there’s a limit to the number of people who can be linked. It seems group sizes are limited to around four party members total, with a total link of four for now.
Black Desert’s next closed beta is expected to start from April 22nd and will last for three weeks on PC.
Looks interesting, but at the same time combat looks pretty bland. Dunno if that guy was fighting something stronger than him or doing something wrong, or what, but it looks a bit lengthy and extremely repetitive.
I can never go back to any tab and target system. While Tera's battle mechanics aren't prefect, I hope the industry furthers and polishes this method. Bless looks much more interesting than this game but combat here for Black Desert blows Bless out of the water at present
