I don't know if I'd release a trailer where the game was lagging INCREDIBLY bad at 2 different points (0:38 and 1:04,) but okay.

Looks nice.

Not your fault. But in the long run it's good that they pulled it for sure. That was...disheartening for a trailer put out solely to show the public the game's progress.

Hoping those issues were due to problems while encoding... This game does not need any more glaring flaws out in the open.

It didn't seem like it unfortunately. One point was during a high point of shadowing/greenery and the other during a point where the DRG was using Dragonfire on a Treant.

It actually looked like it might have been the PS3 version. There were several 'gameplay' spots that were almost identical to the previous gameplay trailer but this new trailer had more clipping issues and LoD transition was not quite as good. Self-shadowing in the opening gameplay segment was noticeably worse then even the standard alpha demonstration we got to see live (so we know its looks better when playing) and textures were fairly muddy looking (from the distance) in La Noscea. My guess is we saw first footage of the PS3 version running on less then optimized coding and poor capturing equipment and the reason it was pulled wasn't because the trailer wasn't ready but because it was probably supposed to come out with an article from a group like Famitsu.

Still willing to give SE the benefit of doubt since we're still a long ways off from the official release and the flaws in graphics (and apparently lag) no doubt be pointed when we get our hands on alpha/beta, but as the Official Forums went on a field day over grass of all things, things are in quite the uproar in the NA forums, lol

Those pics make me absolute certain it has to be the PS3 version, the alpha footage we saw looked way better then what was shown in this trailer, especially the soft diffused shadowing and the hair looks completely different to the previous trailers like the current version is a completely different texture/shader. Limsa and the windmills also looked a lot better in the last trailer. I'm hoping the frame rate issue is just an issue of "incomplete" optimization and/or shoddy capturing equipment. (or even an improperly uploaded video).

Seems likely it's the PS3 version graphics.
