    Bamboo Shoots (2016/6/8)

Currently there are limited ways to obtain this item, are there plans to add this to the Mog Garden or Monster drops?
Currently, the ramen items which use Bamboo Shoots are given relatively powerful effects. Adding this item to monster drops or the mog garden will significantly increase the availability of these items. We will need to carefully consider the effects of this before we move forward.

    Rarab Cap (2016/6/8)

My character with a Rarab Cap was displayed with a Crab Cap!
We have confirmed that there is a bug with the graphics of the item “Rarab Cap”. This will be addressed in the next version update. We apologize for any inconvenience until then.

    Mystery Item (2016/6/9)

I got a item called “.” from the Goblin Mystery Box. It has no icon and the description says “,” for two rows. I didn’t want to throw it away since I was thinking an update might turn it into something special, but now I’m wondering if I should keep it?
It seems unused items have been accidentally included in the box’s pool of items. These items have no use other than taking up precious inventory space. Generally speaking we will not perform adjustments to forcibly remove items from players, so if players come into possession of these items we ask that you dispose of them. We will be performing maintenance to remove these items from the box’s pool. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

    Apururu (2016/6/9)

    Greetings, fellow followers of Apururu!

Kensagaku pretty much nailed it on the head when it comes to the conditions for Apururu to use Nott. The AI has been set so that this ability is used when her TP is over 1000 and MP is below 66%; however, in terms of where this stands in priority of actions taken, it comes below everything else. In other words, she will prioritize curing and removing debuffs before she uses Nott.

Hopefully this helps out a bit for your strategy planning!

    New Abilities/Spells (2016/6/9)

    Hello, everyone.

There have been scattered requests for new weapon skills and magic spells here and there, and I wanted to inform you about the current situation.
Whether it's weapon skills, abilities, or the various types of magic spells, the development team needs to create the animation and effects (in addition to the actual stats) for each race, and adding these elements, which takes time, makes it considerably difficult to these things.

On the other hand, when it comes to job traits, items, and monsters that utilize existing graphics, there is a significant difference in the required amount of resources, and it is much easier to implement new ones.

We also do not have any plans to eliminate already implemented abilities and magic spells to create space for new ones.

    Chocobo Digging Adjustments (2016/6/9)

Does digging for Conquest Points/Imperial Standing affect Conquest in any way?
When digging for these currencies, Conquest will be affected (Beastmen Gauge only). The player’s level and chocobo will not be considered. This will occur even when using a rental chocobo.

    Ambuscade UI (2016/6/10)

    Hello, everyone.

We understand that trading the items one by one to augment capes can be tedious and quite the inconvenience; however, in the event that an unwanted augment is accidentally chosen, it would require waiting until the next version update to correct if you already used your needles, so we'd like to keep this as a measure for safeguarding against errors.

Furthermore, if we did decide to make changes to allow for multiple item trading at once, this would require a rebuild of the UI, which would require quite a lot of time to accomplish.

    Trust Height Detection (2016/6/10)

We adjusted the value of the Trust’s height detection in this last update. We hope to hear from players if this has alleviated the issues they have been running into.

    Treasure Finder (2016/6/10)

Can you please explain what exactly this Chocobo ability does?
As of the 2016/6/7 update, the ability “Treasure Finder” decreases the odds of finding no items when digging. Before, this was only possible through the “Tandjana Wildgrass”, but we have changed it so that the item “Gysahl Greens” also activates this effect. Please make use of it!

    Chat Log (2016/6/10)

Sometimes when I adjust the width of a split chat log, odd line breaks occur in Window 2. Is this a bug?
Unfortunately, we cannot change this at the moment. FFXI was originally designed to only have one chat log, and when an area change occurs, the temporarily saved chat log will be displayed using window 1 as a reference. To avoid strange line breaks, you will need to make Window 1 and 2 the same size, or placing the chat types you don’t wish to have line breaks into Window 1.

Magic Accuracy From Mythic and Ergon Weapons (2016/6/10)

I wish for more detailed information for how magic accuracy skill, magic damage, and the aftermath bonuses factor into final performance.

The difference between a completed IL119 Mythic/Ergon and a typical IL119 weapon is 27 weapon skill, but the different in magic accuracy skill is 41. What does this mean in terms of performance?
Below are the potential effects of magic accuracy and magic attack from the Mythic Aftermath.

    Mythic Weapon Carnwenhan (Bard)
    Magic Accuracy +30~49

    Mythic Weapon Murgleis (Red Mage)
    Magic Accuracy +30~49
    Magic Attack +30~49

    Mythic Weapon Tizona (Blue Mage)
    Magic Accuracy +30~49
    Magic Attack +30~49

    Mythic Weapon Yagrush (White Mage)
    Magic Accuracy +30~49

    Mythic Weapon Laevateinn (Black mage)
    Magic Accuracy +30~49
    Magic Attack +30~49

    Mythic Weapon Tupsimati (Scholar)
    Magic Accuracy +30~49
    Magic Attack +30~49

    Ergon Weapon Idris (Geomancer)
    Magic Accuracy +30~49
    Magic Attack +30~49

Furthermore, the property “Weapon Skill+” and “Magic Accuracy Skill+” translates out as follows.

    Weapon Skill +242: Attack +195, Accuracy +195
    Weapon Skill +269: Attack +216, Accuracy +216

Magic Accuracy Skill +228: Magic Accuracy +115
Magic Accuracy Skill +242: Magic Accuracy +122
Magic Accuracy Skill +255: Magic Accuracy +128
Magic Accuracy Skill +269: Magic Accuracy +135

The above values should be used as a reference, as they are the stats that come out when applied to the base values. The actual value you receive may deviate slightly.

    Mission Wait Times (2016/6/13)

We will consider making adjustments to the wait times associated with minigames in the “Wings of the Goddess” expansion. However, we are not sure when we can implement these changes.

The following Missions from “Treasures of Aht Urhgan” have had their wait times adjusted already. If there are others that need to be addressed, please let us know.

    -Immortal Sentries
    -Easterly Winds
    -Westerly Winds

    New Abilities (2016/6/13)

Since making new animations and effects can take lots of time, is it possible to make new abilities and spells that simply use existing effects? For example, a Red Lotus Blade II?
We will look into this suggestion. However, there is an overall limit to what we can add, so we can’t add an unlimited number of abilities.

Currently, we have no plans on adding higher level versions of existing weapon skills.

    Ambuscade (2016/6/13)

In the next update, we are thinking of making it so that parties which have registered will automatically enter when it is their turn. If players opt to instead use the previous setting, we are adding a sound effect to inform the player when it is their turn.

It is currently a work-in-progress. Please stay tuned!

    Chocobo Digging Skill (2016/6/14)

Isn’t it about time we can see our skill for Chocobo Digging?
We can’t guarantee a time frame, but we’re looking into adding an NPC who can give this information.

    Domain Invasion (2016/6/15)

We thank players for their continued feedback. Aside from the campaigns which prevent the Wyrms from taking to the sky, we will look into campaigns which make the content easier to clear for small groups. We hope for your patience until then.

    Combat Balance (2016/6/16,17)

We thank players for their feedback regarding player physical accuracy. We had previous acknowledged this issue, while at the same time implementing things such as improved Oboro Job-Specific Equipment and rewards from Ambuscade and Geas Fete as a way for players to improve through equipment. Since then, we have continued discussing the issue, we believe it is appropriate to continue using this method to fix the situation. Because issues in high level content seem to be largely related to melee-range jobs, we do not wish to make adjustments to base values which would affect all content. Moving forward, we will continue adding high CL content which will provide equipment with accuracy bonuses on them.

On another front, the planned adjustments to hand-to-hand and two handed weapons in the next version update will not be related to accuracy, but to other properties of the weapons.

In regards to the feedback that high CL content has too strict of accuracy requirements, we believe this is the result of the assumptions we made regarding how players would build their characters and parties. For example, tier 3 Reisenjima Geas Fete was created taking into consideration the effects support jobs would have on the party, and thus the requirements were made to be quite high in these cases. We did this to ensure the necessity of support-type classes in such content. In lower CL content, we had adjusted the stats so that a lack of support jobs could be compensates using equipment and food effects.

    -----

At the moment, we believe the main concerns from players are:

    1. High accuracy requirements for high CL content
    2. High risk from enemy area attacks

As mentioned above, we wish to add more equipment to address these issues, but this cannot be implemented immediately, so players may be wondering if we have other plans in addition to this.

First, in regards to accuracy. Currently, there is a difference in how gaps of accuracy/evasion and magic accuracy/evasion vary with level. This results from our considerations of how melee damage provides continuous damage from autoattacks and the addition of weapon skill and skillchain damage as players build TP. However, the increasing level gap from players being kept at IL119 has resulted in this situations where players find it difficult to maintain accuracy an enemy.

For CL119 battles, we wish to adjust these stats so that even without equipping to boost accuracy, adding in support would allow players to hit monsters reliably. Of course, CL145 battles would still have higher requirements, and we don’t wish to change the necessity of support before a reliable hit rate can be reached.

Since this is an adjustment to the basic underlying stats in the game, this has far-reaching effects, and thus requires a large amount of verification before implementation, so it is unlikely it would be introduced soon. Still, we will attempt to make progress on this.

Next, I want to address two-handed and hand-to-hand weapons.

In the 2/10 version update, we increased the upper limit on damage output. However, because players have to gear for accuracy, it is difficult to get into a situation where players benefit from this adjustment. Thus, since two-handed and hand-to-hand weapons place a large emphasis on autoattack damage, we are discussing adding Attack Bonus traits to jobs which focus in these weapons.

Finally, an issue we have not addressed yet is area attacks from enemies. One of the problems is that simply raising player defense may not be enough, because players may suffer numerous status effects on top of taking such damage. This may be a complicated issue for us to address, but we want players to know that we have not forgotten about it.

At the very least, while moving forward, we wish to make it so that newly added monsters will not simply be able to use attacks which suddenly defeats or heavily cripples players randomly. We are aiming to make it possible for players to respond in some way to these attacks.

As always, we encourage players to continue giving us their feedback on new equipment or planned features which have not implemented yet.

    Mission Midnight Waits (2016/6/20)

Upon examination, we have confirmed that the Aht Urhgan Missions “Sweets for the Soul”, “Playing the Part”, “Testing the Waters”, and “Stirrings of War” have a one-day Earth time flag. We will discuss reducing these wait times.

    Dynamis-Beaucedine (2016/6/20)

Can we get a Home Point for the entrance?
We admit there is a bit of a walk to this entrance even if you use the available warps. However, we would like to make additions of Home Points be consistent with other areas/content. Since there an upper limit to the number of Home Points we can add, we can’t immediately give an answer to this request. Also, when we move Home Points already in-place, the player’s flag on the Home Point will be reset. We wish for players to consider these issues while discussing the idea.

Finally, we should note that we are also alternatively addressing such issues by expanding the areas mounts can be used, so please try that option out as well!

    Trust (2016/6/21)

I’ve run into some situations where the Trust AI stops curing me.
    http://fast-uploader.com/file/7021429160210/
    http://fast-uploader.com/file/7021430104744/
We will look into this issue. If possible, we hope players can provide us with more detailed information as to the coordinates on the map of these locations (EX “The Top Right of A-0”).

    Mog Garden (2016/6/21)

Can you add information to let us know how many more times we need to interact with the nodes in the garden to obtain titles?
Can you give us a separate page for Mog Garden key items? It can be annoying to scroll through or find them.
We’ll look into whether making these changes are possible.

    Default Settings (2016/6/22)

I’m thinking maybe settings like /partyinfo showtp and buff/debuff timers should be toggled on by default. New and returning players may not know about these functions, so it seems like that would be more convienent.
When we add new things to the UI, we generally keep them off as to not disrupt any players’ habits. Also, if we changed the default setting now, it might actually switch the setting for all players, including the ones who currently have it on. Especially for features which are preserved upon logging out, we would prefer to not change the default settings.

    Ambuscade Points (2016/6/22)

Can we please have Hallmarks and Gallantry in our currencies window?
We had planned on implementing this in the May update, but the system changes for things like entering Ambuscade ended up taking priority. We are hoping to get this in for the next update.

    Sharpshot Frame (2016/6/22)

There’s a number of problems with this frame currently.

    1. High Delay: The Drum Magazine was balanced around play 4 or 5 years ago, and now it has fallen behind. The frame shoots too slowly for the current pace of battle.

    2. Damage: The automaton’s upper limit on damage wasn’t increased alongside players. The max multiplier is still 3, which is the same as before the 2016/2/10 update.

    3. Mysterious Negatives On WS: Upon testing, there seems to be a glitch of some kind with ranged WSs on the automaton, and it has a lower D value than normal attacks. I admit this might be erroneous, but I would like for the devs to tell us the specifications on these abilities.

There are other issues, but I’ll leave it there for now.
I have brought your suggestions to the development team. As a result, they have decided that they will be increasing the ranged attack and ability damage of the “Sharpshot Z-500” frame. We are hoping to implement this in the next version update, and we are currently doing verification work.

    Improving Older Equipment (2016/6/23)

Instead of new equipment, couldn’t you just improve certain IL119 equipment available currently, like reforged AF?
We believe that if we improved existing equipment, there would be a need to also increase the difficulty associated with obtaining such equipment in order to maintain the cost/reward balance. Another problem is if we adjusted Skirmish equipment for example, it would also disrupt the balance of equipment rewarded from Alluvion Skirmish, in which case we would need to do an overhaul of the entire system.

It is true we have adjusted the Abjuration equipment before, but that was the exception, and not the rule. We hope players will understand this position.

    Macro Display (2016/6/23)

Quote Originally Posted by Post from 2012

Can we just get a toggle in the options menu for this feature?
It is actually true that we had implemented this change in the 2012/5/16 update, but afterwards, there were issues where players were unable to exit out of their Macro Palettes after using the R2 and L2 buttons. We found that solving this issue would’ve been quite difficult, so we restored the original settings in an update on 2012/5/18.

    Chocobo Raising (2016/6/24)

Can we have the chocobo start at max affection instead of needing us to check it 160 times? If not that, then maybe an item we can get for chocobucks that does something similar.
We’ll considering making this adjustment. We’ll report back to you with details if we go forward with this idea.

    Sharpshot Frame (2016/6/24)

Can we get some new attachments like Drum Magazine II and ones that combine multiple effects together?
Since we will be adjusting the Sharpshot frame's ranged attacks in July, we wish to first gather feedback before making any other changes. We have no plans on adding attachments that combine two or more effects into one. We think players should experiment with attachments until they find a setup that they like. New attachments however, are tentatively planned for the future.

    Sendable items (2016/6/27)

Can you explain why you won’t allow us to send certain prizes from Bonanza?
We will try to answer this for certain items.

    Opal Silk/Saber Shoot
Because these items were not originally obtained from Mog Bonanza, we feel it would defeat the point of the Bonanza to adjust them to be sent just for this purpose.

    Cat’s Eye/Heavy Cluster/Bayld Crystal
Because an adjustment to these items would significantly impact the Mythic, Empyrean, and Ergon quests, we have no plans on making adjustments to them.

We also feel that allowing these items to be sent would unfairly weigh the bonanza towards players who pay a higher subscription fee, as a player could simply send a secondary character’s prize to their main character. We don’t wish to make adjustments to encourage that playstyle. It would also mean we would need to take into consideration that playstyle when we make adjustments.

For similar reasons, we will not be making it possible to send Cipher items for Trusts. Because of the way login campaigns are now structured, players can obtain Cipher items after a single login, so it should be much easier to obtain these items now.

We hope players understand our perspective in this matter.

    Rhapsody in Fuchsia (2016/6/27)

Can you explain how exactly this strengthens Trusts? It does not appear to impact HP or MP.
This key item has effects unrelated to HP and MP. Its effects vary with the role of the Trust, such as more accuracy for melee attackers and magic accuracy for magic attackers. It would be difficult for us to give a breakdown of precise numbers, but the intent is to give an increase in strength of approximately 1 level.

    Equipset (2016/6/28)

Can you change it so that saved equipsets will save the data of which bag said items were in? That way, I won’t accidentally equip an item with the same name but a different augment. Perhaps it would also reduce server load?
If we make the checks stricter than they are now, errors will become more common. We don’t feel this would be an improvement to the system that is currently in place, so we don’t plan on adjusting it. Currently it is already possible to restrict yourself to a specific bag using the /equip command, so we believe players wishing to be more specific with their macros should use a combination of the two functions.

    Wait (2016/6/28)

Is it still impossible to make /wait fractions possible?
It was determined that the lower limit of 1 second was one which would be workable under a variety of circumstances. Because this is partially reliant on client-side processing speed, adjustments may cause issues in certain PCs but not others. The verification work for such a change would be quite large. Currently, it would be very difficult for us to make such a change.

    Puppetmaster (2016/6/29)

The notes for the coming July version update only seem to promise pet command adjustments. What’s up with that?
Occasionally projects that were not yet confirmed at the time of writing those summaries will end up making it into the same update. The adjustments to the Sharpshot Frame is one such adjustment, being scheduled for July. For more information, we ask players to just wait a bit longer for the day of the update.

    Sending Ambuscade Rewards (2016/6/30)

I’m guessing I’m not the only one, but I change characters based on what job I feel like playing. Could you allow sending these rewards for players like me?
The rewards from Ambuscade are designed to be obtained within the month, so don’t wish to make it possible to send these items. It should be noted that in addition to the “Hallmark” and “Gallantry” systems we’ve added, we plan on creating other opportunities to obtain such items in the future. When the time comes, we would like you to make the challenge using the character you want the equipment on.

  11. #791

    Automaton Cures (2016/7/5)

Can you make adjustments for automatons to use their cures more intelligently? It would be nice if you changed the thresholds for when cures are triggered and prioritized lower level cures when you have not lost much HP, etc. An increase to cure potency would also be nice.
We have no plans on making this adjustment, as such a function is already achieved with the attachment, “Damage Gauge”. This attachment, along with the “Optic Fiber” attachments, allows Puppetmasters greater control over the puppet’s actions.

As for cure potency, the attachment “Vivi-Valve” can be used. We hope Puppetmasters wishing to put an emphasis on healing will consider these attachments.

    Blood Pact (2016/7/6)

We have implemented a new system to allow Blood Pact recasts to be shorter than before. We implemented this to boost the usability of blood pacts, and to give you some specifics, it will reduce your blood pact recast timer by a maximum of 10 seconds depending on the level of Avatar’s Favor.

    Combat Balance (2016/7/6)

We thank players for their continued feedback on Combat Balance. We are aware that only adjusting accuracy for melee fighters will not be enough to solve current issues (Of course, we are still thinking of making adjustments to player accuracy and monster evasion). We are current working on adjustments to both player defenses and monster attacks alongside player accuracy. When we have a definite plan, we will be sure to share it with you.

    Divinator (2016/7/6)

Divinator is IL119, but it gives All Stats+89, which seems lower than what players can get.
Thank you for your feedback. The status bonus given by Animators consider player strength at the time of implementation, but we recognize that over time this may have become underwhelming. We are discussing adding new high level Animators, and also discussing the possibility of giving them higher status bonuses. Please give us some time.

  12. #792

    Adoulin Necklaces (2016/7/7)

Is there any update on allowing us to trade these in? I think a system similar to the exchange for rings using bayld would work.
We are working on verification work for this change, and it may take some time still before we complete work on it. As we’ve explained in the past, this change requires us to verify several checks in the game. We hope you will allow us some more time to complete this work.

    Chocobo Affection (2016/7/8)

We will be making changing so that newly-hatched Chocobos will have nearly maximum affection. We plan on implementing this in the August update.

    Automaton Cures (2016/7/11)

Many of us are aware of the various attachments that can enhance cures, but a big problem is still that puppets have a cooldown between cures that creates a bottleneck for their effectiveness. With how powerful enemies have become, the Automaton simply can’t keep up anymore. This cooldown needs to be shortened further, Damage Gauge or not.
When adjusting the basics of the Automaton’s routines, there’s quite a few hurdles to overcome, as it is related to every action Automatons take. However, we can try to reduce the magic casting intervals of the Automaton further. We will consider adding a higher level version of the attachment “Damage Gauge”. When we have solidified plans, we will report back to you.

    Ambuscade (2016/7/11)

The Capacity Points gained by defeating the boss are lower than before. Is this intentional?
The Capacity Points gained through the content “Ambuscade” varies depending on the family of monster defeated. Thus, there will be cases where players will gain lower amounts. There is a special bonus to Capacity Points gained when completing the content, but this has not changed month to month.

The Capacity Points that can be obtained in Ambuscade are also affected by other bonuses. We recommend players try it out while obtaining their Hallmarks.

  13. #793

    Storage Slips (2016/7/12)

It can get a bit confusing. Can you allow us to trade an item to the Moogle to know what Slip it goes into?
We will look into adding this function.

    Ambuscade (2016/7/13)

If people pick up two handed jobs again, it’d be nice to be able to obtain Sulevia armor.
We are discussing methods for players to obtain rewards which were previously accessible via Ambuscade.

Will Abdhaljs Dye be available next month, and if so, can we add yet another stat onto a mantle we’ve augmented this month?
Abdhaljs Dye will be available next month, and we are planning on implementing it in the future. However, this item is limited to enhancing only one stat, and the selection of stats will be the same as the ones available this month.

Why does the Magic Accuracy augment from Abdhaljs Dye end up being displayed separately, whereas Accuracy will be added onto what was already there?
The settings for the game have accuracy being added together before being displayed, whereas magic accuracy is displayed separately. These settings were implemented when these stats were created, and the augments from Ambuscade continues using these same settings.

    Merit Points (2016/7/14)

Will you be raising the cap on Job-specific categories?
We have no plans on adjusting these caps. We raised the caps on other stats because those merits affect all jobs. Since Job Merits have an impact on that job alone, we believe players should consider these categories as ways to customize their playstyle.

    New Animator (2016/7/15)

An update on the new Animator we had mentioned before. Currently, we are considering making this new Animator a synthesis recipe (and HQs will be possible). The stats should be pretty high, so the materials will likely also be quite difficult to obtain. Furthermore, because this is a synthesized IL recipe, it will have the Superior tag.

These plans are subject to change, but the above is the current plan.

    Trusts (2016/7/15)

Thank you for your continued feedback on Trusts. Currently, we are considering the method through which players can obtain the new Trusts, the “Ark Angels”. We cannot provide any details as of yet- please wait for the day to come!

  14. #794

    Mochi (2016/7/19)

Can you make the pet bonuses on Mochi apply to Trusts?
Trusts are considered Party Members, separate from pets. Thus, food such as Stewpots can be applied to them. We have no plans on making this possible with food like Mochi. We hope players understand this decision.

    Morbol Mount (2016/7/20)

What’s with the Galka’s position in the Morbol Mount?
When we create the animations for mounts, we use existing animations for chocobo riding, healing, or /sit for each race. Ideally we would come up with totally new animations for everything, but in the interest of creating variety of mounts we tend towards using existing animations.

In this particular case, only the Galka use their healing motion, while other races use /sit. This was the position that resulted in the least clipping with the tentacle motions from the Morbol.

We know that it may bother some people, but we hope for your understanding.

    Bonanza Vanity Items (2016/7/20)

I was hoping to get items such as Curmudeon’s Helmet, Gazer’s Helmet, and Retching Helmet, but they were not available this time. Will they be available again?
We are discussing ways to make these items available again in the future.

    Mounts (2016/7/21)

I’d like to see Dhalmel and Adamantoise Mounts.
Hmm, Adamantoise sounds good! I’ll pass this along to the person in charge…

    Domain Invasion Blessings (2016/7/21)

Can you make the bonuses from Domain Invasion available in exchange for silt? They’re awarded pretty randomly.
We designed the blessings with the intent that they are luck-based bonuses players happen to obtain. If we make it so that they can be bought, they would become required, and we may have to reconsider the effects themselves. We don’t believe this benefits everyone, so for now we will be leaving the settings as-is.

    Shantotto II (2016/7/22)

Will there be another chance to obtain this Trust? It’s a bit bothersome that you can’t obtain Trusts when you happen to be busy at the wrong time.
There will be more chances in the future to obtain the Trust “Shantotto II”. We are aiming to make her available during the login campaign of November 2016. We hope players can wait a bit longer.

    New Animator (2016/7/22)

Will there be a melee and ranged version of the Animator like there was with Divinator?
The new animator will have a melee and ranged version. Both will be, as we announced earlier, obtained via crafting.

    Domain Invasion (2016/7/25)

Based on feedback from players regarding the difficulty of this content, we are thinking of holding both the “Domain Invasion Campaign” and the “Domain Invasion Anti-Predator Campaign” at the same time from now on.

As usual, we will announce such campaigns before they come, so we hope players can stay patient.

    Trusts (2016/7/25)

I think there’s decent balance within tanks and damage Trusts, but there aren’t any good healers on the level of Yoran and Apururu. Kupipi does not run away on her own, Karaha-Baruha and Ferrous Coffin both melee, and Cherukiki doesn’t remove status. Can’t you add a more effective healer?
In consideration of players who may be used to certain Trusts, we want to avoid making significant changes to their routines. Even if we improved existing healer Trusts, it would be hard to make them comparable to the Unity Leaders.

However, by adding new Trusts, it is possible for us to add new Trusts with routines in-line with your request. We are currently discussing a new Trust (though it will be slightly harder to obtain) who will keep distance while healing. We would greatly appreciate if players could await this Trust.

    New Attachments (2016/7/26)

Earlier we had mentioned a higher level version of the “Damage Gauge”. We are planning on introducing this item in the August update. At the same time, we will be adding the attachment “Optic Fiber II”. Please look forward to it!

    /yell (2016/7/26)

    Hello, everyone!

I just wanted to give you all a heads up on a nice quality of life change that will be taking place in the upcoming version update!

No longer will you need to be out of the /yell loop while in Mhaura, as we will be expanding the areas in which the /yell feature can be used to the three starting nations and other outlying cities.

    Condemners (2016/7/27)

Is the lack of Pet: Attack+, Pet: Racc+ being unavailable via Arcane Glyphs intentional?
The Arcane Glyph “Pet: Attack+” is not possible on the item Condemners. This is true regardless of which stone is used. However, “Pet: Ranged Accuracy+” is included in “Pet: Accuracy+”, so with that augment, pets will have increased ranged accuracy.

    Tiny Rusk/Macaroon (2016/7/27)

    How potent are these items?
The item “Tiny Macaroon” and “Tiny Rusk” have the same potency as “Coffee Macaroon” and “Chocolate Rusk”, respectively.

    Lustratio Armor (2016/7/28)

This is a minor detail, but why are the jobs on the cursed and uncursed armor different?
We’ll look into fixing this in a future update.

    Pet: Accuracy+ (2016/7/29)

In a previous post you claimed that Pet: Accuracy+ also affects Ranged Accuracy, but on the Axe Digirbalag I have obtained augments that mention both Accuracy and Ranged Accuracy. Are the settings different for these items?
The augment which can be obtained on “Condemners” via Arcane Glyphs are actually the same as the ones which can be obtained on “Digirbalag”. Fixing the many inconsistencies found in the game’s help text would be very difficult to do at this point, so for now it should be safe for players to assume that “Pet: Accuracy+” and “Pet: Accuracy+ R. Accuracy+” are the same.

    AF Quests (2016/7/29)

For some players who choose an Advanced Job as their first Job, there may be AF quests involving battlefields which can be difficult to clear. Can you please allow the use of Trusts for these?
We put a high priority on adjusting battlefields related to missions, but since the quests you have mentioned are connected to level cap quests, we will discuss raising the priority on them. It may still take some time to get to them, so we hope players can stay patient until then.

    Geas Fete Campaign (2016/8/1)

Is there a trick to getting the personal rewards during this campaign?
I asked the person in charge for an answer, and he responded with “Luck!” As a side note, the chance of getting equipment seems to reference the drop rate of the NM itself.

    Cheer Effects (2016/8/1)

Can you let us know what Cheer effect we have active via a message when we enter a Mog House, or maybe through a display on the status menu somewhere?
We wish to avoid system messages after changing areas, so we will try to find some other method. We understand that the related key item can be easily lost amongst the others, so we are thinking of adding an additional category.

    Auto-Translate Terms (2016/8/4)

Can you add Geomancy spells and attack types?
The amount of Geomancy spells may place a large burden on memory, so currently it may be difficult to accomplish. In regards to attack types, “Slashing Type”, “Blunt Type”, and “Piercing Type” are not official terms we use in the game, but we may be able to instead add approximate terms like “Slash”, “Strike” and “Pierce”. We hope players can stay patient for a follow-up.

    Intense Ambuscade (2016/8/4)

Thanks for all of the ideas! We've passed on all your suggestions to the team.

In terms of improvements that we are working on at the moment, to better reward you for your efforts in Intense Ambuscade, we are looking into increasing the amount of Hallmarks earned upon completion. (Gallantry will remain unchanged.)

The team is currently in the process of making adjustments so you receive double the current amount, and we are hoping to get this implemented as early as next week. We hope that this creates more of an incentive to bump the challenge up a bit more and head into Intense Ambuscade!

We'll follow up if we hear anything further about the suggestions listed in this thread.

    Ambuscade Music (2016/8/5)

I’m really enjoying this new song. Is there a title for it, and will it be available to play on the Orchestrion?
We will consider adding the song to the Orchestrion, but since there are still many songs which are not available, we would like to know what other songs players might like to play in their Mog House.

    Blood Pact Glitch (2016/8/8)

We have confirmed a glitch which causes lowered Blood Pact damage when players switch equipment. The glitch occurs because the game fails to account for the STR and DEX values of the Avatar (however, other stats such as Pet: Magic Attack+ are still reflected). We are currently working to fix the problem and hope to implement this fix in the next patch. We apologize for any inconvenience until then.

    H-P Bayld from Gallantry (2016/8/8)

I thought this month would be Ergon Weapon items from Gallantry after the last 3 months gave us Relic, Mythic, and Empyrean items.
We plan on rotating the rewards from Gallantry in the order of Relic → Mythic → Empyrean. However, as you have mentioned, it seems appropriate that Ergon Weapon items should also be available.

Since Mythic items are coming up next month, we’ll be adding items related to Ergon Weapons as well, being that they are also Job-specific weapons!

    Monster Rearing (2016/8/9)

Some of the monsters can be hard to tell apart just from inspection. Can you add a message when we interact with them?
We will look into adding a way to inform players what kind of monsters they are currently raising. If all goes well, we hope we can get it into the next version update.

    Animator P (2016/8/10)

I’m really curious what the P stands for. Paramount? Perfection? Pluck? Possibility? Precise? Primal?

Please tell us, I have to know!
    It’s “P” for “Psycho”!

As the item description implies, it exhibits the incredible ability to link the minds of the master and the puppet!

    Ambuscade Rewards (2016/8/10)

    Greetings, everyone!

As pointed out by Zeldar, the newly added Jhakri equipment makes it so all jobs have Ambuscade equipment now, and in terms of what comes next, we will be making it possible to reacquire past pieces for those who might have missed certain months of Ambuscade. In the next version update we'll be introducing tickets that can be purchased with total hallmarks, which will allow you to select the piece of gear you would like.

    Chococards (2016/8/10)

I know this is not relevant to most players these days, but I have been begging for this for years. I'm one of the last chocobo breeders on Odin, and am one of the few people who actually sell chococards. I have plenty of buyers, and have trouble transferring the cards from my three chocobo-breeding mules to my bazaar mule, as it requires me to frequently impose on one of my friends to transfer large amounts of cards between my characters. Would it really be too difficult to make Chococards able to be sent via delivery box between same-account characters? This would make a huge difference in my "quality of life" in-game and save me and my friends a lot of hassle. Please please please, devs, put some thought into this.
    Hello!

This is something that we just might be able to do! The team will take a look at enabling chococard transferring between characters within the same account, and as long as there are no major issues, they'll work towards getting this feature implemented in the next version update at the earliest.

Thanks for your feedback concerning chococards and stay tuned for updates!

    Reverend Mail 119 (2016/8/10)

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Though we can't make any promises this will be implemented, the team will definitely take this into consideration for the future.

    Trusts in Battlefields (2016/8/12)

We are continuing to work on making Trusts available in Artifact Armor quests. We hope players can continue informing us what content they would like us to make them available in. To know which battlefields Trusts can already be called forth in, be sure to check the dedicated thread.

    Chocobo Raising (2016/8/15)

I was excited to hear the adjustments to Chocobo Raising. In line with other quality-of-life adjustments, do you think you could shorten the amount of time it takes for an egg to hatch to one day?
Chocobos are living creatures, and they take some time to grow.

Shortening the time it takes for a Chocobo to grow would be a difficult project at this time. For now we hope players can accept raising their Chocobos slowly.

    Character Names Font Size (2016/8/15)

While I realize using /names can remove the display, when playing at a high resolution, character names obstruction graphics becomes much more noticeable. Is it possible at this point for an option to reduce the size of this text?
We looked into this, but we have determined that it is currently not realistic for us to make such an adjustment. We would need to make adjustments to the font itself, and to do that would require us to adjust certain parts of the underlying systems. This would be quite difficult, so we hope you can understand.

    Mog Gardens (2016/8/16)

Can you make multiple harvests at a node give a minimum yield of 2 times? It’s annoying to click it and only end up getting one harvest.
The option of continuous interactions with the nodes in the Mog Garden simply makes you repeat the single option multiple times. This is because the items produced by the nodes can vary, such as through the use of the items “Florid Leaf Mold” or “Rockoil”, which have a limited effect.

    Consume Mana (2016/8/16)

Tests using Consume Mana even right outside the Three Nations yielded unimpressive results. This ability feels underpowered, can you please adjust it? Perhaps multiplied damage or a big bonus like that of Sneak Attack?
The ability “Consume Mana” adds 10% of the MP consumed to your base damage. It is meant as an ability that will give a single powerful attack.

We don’t wish to make large changes to the basic concept behind the ability’s design, so we hope players can keep this in mind as they give us suggestions.

    Ambuscade Rewards (2016/8/17)

We’d like to explain a bit about the rewards which will be coming next month.

As has been mentioned, we have already gone through a cycle of offering all the available equipment in the past few months. In September, we will be rewarding tickets which will allow players to exchange for the piece that they like. These tickets were designed as an opportunity for player to obtain equipment if they had missed the change beforehand, so the number of points required to obtain these tickets will be similar to what was required for equipment in the past few months. We have not yet decided how these tickets may be available afterwards. It is possible it may be available through Hallmarks, Gallantry, or even another alternate route.

In terms of future rewards, we are currently discussing adding a new series of equipment. Please stay tuned!

    Automaton Skillchains (2016/8/17)

Are Automaton Light Skillchains supposed to cap out at 26556 damage?
Skillchain damage varies with both player and monster stats. It is possible you have discovered a bug, so we hope you can give us more information such as area, monster, and the weapon skill used in a bug report. We apologize for the inconvienence.

    Helix II (2016/8/18)

Are these meant to be excepted from the Bookworm Cape duration extensions?
Upon investigation, we have determined that the augment “Helix Spell Duration+” was not working properly with the Helix II spells. We don’t think we can make this fix into the September patch, but we will work to bring it to you as early as possible.

    Thank you for your report.

    Announcing the September Version Update

A good day to you, adventurers! Matsui here with your monthly version update rundown.

I’d like to present you with a list of what to expect in the next version update, scheduled for Tuesday, September 6.

The month will once again bring about new foes to tackle in Ambuscade together with different rewards. In the August version update, armor rewards finally came full circle, so this time we have prepared some tickets that can be exchanged for varying pieces of armor. As always, I must advise you to spend your hallmarks and badges of gallantry before the reset.

We’ll also be bringing you a new master trial to sink your teeth into. This time two particularly heinous fiends from one of our most difficult mission battles join the fray.

On the lighter side, quests to obtain new alter egos and mounts will be added—and hopefully you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see exactly who and what.

You can also expect a variety of quality-of-life adjustments, including adjustments to Walk of Echoes spoils, some changes to the synthesis system, and more detailed help text on food and drink items.

Below is a detailed chart of exactly what we’re planning for September. As always, these items are currently undergoing testing, and unforeseen issues may cause us to delay one or more items to a later update.

    Job Master (2016/8/18)

One of the suggestions I've seen that I've really liked is that mastering a job allows you to fully merit everything for the job.
While this is an interesting idea, the entire concept of merit points is very different from job points, especially in the sense that they can be earned on any job you wish. Balance adjustments have been made based on the caps for each job’s merit point categories, so making it possible to max out each one would result in the necessity for re-balancing. Due to these reasons we do not have any plans at the moment to make it possible to max out all merit point categories.

    Ambuscade (2016/8/18)

    Greetings, everyone!

I’d like to pass on some comments from the development team in response to the suggestions in this thread.

    • Key items
Currently no plans to change the way key items are obtained, and system-wise it would not be possible to make it so the monster targets change each day. Also, in regards to preparing various ways to obtain the key item, when repeating runs as a party, you’ll ultimately all be doing the same method to obtain it, and would likely choose the most efficient option. We'd like to hear additional feedback on what everyone feels would be an appropriate method to obtaining the key item.
    • Area appearance
Unfortunately we aren’t able to change the maps for Ambuscade. While it might be possible for us to place objects or add some variation inside of the instance, this would not be a proper solution. If you feel you are getting worn out while doing it, we recommend taking a break from Ambuscade to do something else, then come back when you are reinvigorated!
    • Adding a reward NPC to other areas
Since it’s not as simple as using the same exact NPC data, it would take a bit of work to do, but this might just be possible. We’ll take a look and see if we can accomplish this!
    • Method to swap in differently augments capes
Unfortunately from a technical perspective, renaming capes so that they can be macroed in is not possible. While it may be possible to create the same exact item with a different name, which can then be augmented, this would reduce the amount of space available for other new items. However, if you use your inventory and wardrobes, you can actually successfully swap in different types of capes.
    • Purchasing Abdhaljs Seals with login points
We can look into this; however, it would not be possible to transfer these between characters under the same account.

We’re happy to see all the feedback on Ambuscade and hope you continue to suggest ways to improve this content moving forward!

    Hey Camate,

Can we get confirmation if the tickets will require Hallmarks or if they will require Gallantry?
Gallantry are kind of a pain to gather.
The tickets will actually be available for total Hallmarks only. These tickets will only be exchangeable for all of the Ambuscade equipment introduced thus far, and not for any other type of items.

While I mentioned that we would be adding new equipment after September, we’ll be looking into methods so that these previous sets can still be obtained by those who missed prior months. However, there is a possibility that we do not limit this to Hallmarks and may do something different.

Why is the total for Gallantry displayed instead of just what we have left? There’s no cumulative rewards.
There are no plans for cumulative rewards, it is simply displayed that way in the case a player is curious of how much they have earned this month.

I’m glad you’re allowing a chance for players to obtain equipment they missed out on. Are there plans for slots other than the five main ones going forward? Earrings, rings, or necklaces?
We have no plans on adding equipment beyond the 5 main slots for Ambuscade content. When capes were introduced via Ambuscade, the goal was to provide a highly customizable slot that could benefit all jobs. There was already a great deal of variety for the finger and ear slots, so we excluded them.

    Mog Garden (2016/8/19)

Can you make the Mog Garden-related items from the Inventor’s Coalition available in the Mog Garden vendors?
If we were to do this, we would need to set a price higher than that of the Inventor’s Coalition. When making players go through a decision, we would like to preserve the interconnectivity of the areas by giving players incentives like this to make the trip. If we were to simply add an identical vendor to the Mog Garden, there would be little reason to travel to the original vendor.

    New Pet Equipment (2016/8/23)

Can we get some details on how the stats on the newer Sachets and Animators differ from the previous ones?
We can’t give you precise details, but we can tell you the general design philosophy behind each of these items.

As suggested by the description of Sancus Sachet, it increases various accuracies of the Avatar and it increases damage of Blood Pacts.

As for the Animator P, it applies adjustments to the accuracy and evasion of the automaton when compared to the Divinator.

Players can confirm some of these stats via the /checkparam function, so we hope you try it out.

    Voidwatch (2016/8/24)

Purchasing displacers and improving Atmacite is a real pain. Any plans on changing this?
We’re currently discussing changes to the purchasing menu for displacers. We are hoping this get this adjustments into the October update.

As for strengthening Atmacite, it would be difficult for us to make adjustments to the menu itself, but we are thinking of making adjustments to the position of the cursor after each level increase. We think this will decrease the time needed to upgrade, so please stay tuned.

    Furniture (2016/8/25)

Can you let us send things like the Cherry Tree within our account? Will login campaign furniture be available again sometime?
We believe furniture from login campaigns should be available again in some fashion.

We have no plans on allowing players to send furniture obtained this way, as players can use that function to obtain multiples of the items. We hope for your understanding in this matter.

    Trust Movement (2016/8/25)

Since adjusting Trust AI and height detection, we have received more reports of Trusts behaving strangely. These may be the result of bugs, so we ask that players provide us with information such as the precise location (via coordinates or screenshots), the order Trusts were summoned, the situation the behavior occurred, etc. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

It should be noted that these issues may be caused by the terrain itself, in which case a remapping of the terrain would be required, which may be very difficult to accomplish. In such a case, we hope players attempt to solve this issue with other means such as changing the direction the monster is facing.

    Heat Sink (2016/8/26)

    How exactly does this work?
Continuously using Maneuvers increases the chance of an Overload. This stress goes down over time, and we can consider this base value as 1 every 3 seconds. With this as the base, the Heat Sink’s effects increases this rate as follows (Including the base value):

    0 Water Maneuvers: 2 every 3s
    1 Water Maneuver: 4 every 3s
    2 Water Maneuvers: 5 every 3s
    3 Water Maneuvers: 6 every 3s

It is very hard for us to give an idea of how the stress increases as it varies based on the player’s actions. This is a simply a way to compare using the Heat Sink versus the base value.

    Chocobo Mask (2016/8/29)

Maybe we can get different colors of these?
When I brought it up Director Fujito, he gave me a /grin! I think there might be something planned…

    Auto Translate (2016/8/30)

As we announced earlier, we will be adding auto-translate for terms similar to those of physical damage types. They will be making it into the September update, so please make good use of them!

    Frayed Sack (Reisenjima) (2016/8/30)

We are discussing making these items sendable within an account in a future version update.

    Blood Pact (2016/8/31)

Can we get a larger area on certain Blood Pacts like Thunderspark?
We will be making adjustments to area-of-effect Blood Pacts in the September update. We will be increasing the size of their effects, including the aforementioned Thunderspark!

    Summons in Mhaura (2016/8/31)

Can you let us summon Avatars in Mhaura so we can buff up before entering?
We have no plans on making this adjustment. As a rule, Avatars cannot be called in town. The exceptions to this rule, such as Al Zahbi and Past Cities, were because battles could occur in these areas.

    Trusts (2016/9/1)

Can you add Nott or Myrkr to other healing Trusts, and maybe higher accuracy for the ones who melee?
These qualities are reserved for Unity Trusts, so it would be difficult for us to follow up on this request.

Can’t you just make them ignore height completely?
If we were to do this, we might create situations where Trusts can support players and attack monsters while being completely out-of-reach.

    Rune Fencer (2016/9/2)

    Right now the order goes:
    Liement > Vallation > Valiance
Can you change it so that it is instead
    Liement > Valiance > Vallation
Or make that order also possible. Why does Vallation have higher priority when it is neither multiple-target nor a stronger effect?
The effects of Vallation vary with the player’s merits. We have placed Vallation on a higher priority in the chance a player has merited Vallation and wishes to keep the stronger effect. This becomes even more of a concern if a party has multiple Rune Fencers and they each may have different merits.
