One of the best things to come out of most Korean games and some US games are multiple channels, sure it would probably use more system resources to start, but after the 1st 5 days you can go in and just get rid of the channels (Much like TERA or even GW2's overflow channel which is the same type of thing). You can also make multiple spawns of monsters if a quest calls to kill one, and then get rid of the multiples later on when you dont have such a cluster fuck.

Either way i'm making my monk and fucking around at 3am for a little bit then passing out so im awake for my IDS class.

Hoping it won't be too bad. Low pop oceanic server....I only just started playing again last week though, so know crap all about WoW these days....haven't missed an expansion yet, hoping this one will be OK.

So far, and maybe it's just my server, the monk starting area has been flawless. No lag at all, no clusterfuck of pandas dicking around in everyone's way. It's pretty awesome.

Sold a stack of Ghost Iron Ore for 16.5k, so I'm glad enough that I stayed on for the release. Killed three or four rare spawns along the way as well.

Now that I've got a dozen stacks of ore and herb on auction house, it's time to goof off with the Panda starting area.

In 85 starting alliance area, was clusterfuck with all the copters. Spent about 30mins to get it done with all the lag, and I was one of first ones to start it...maybe I was unlucky though?

Enjoying it so far. Some of the quests are pretty funny.

I've come to the conclusion that people are fucking retarded, all thanks to the helicopter and that "Welcome Wagon" quest right after it. How hard is it for people to understand that they're in no way shape or form required, and that you can jump off the ship at the start, cruise into the jade forest, and start questing lag + congestion free?

That's what I did. Unfortunately, it leaves you to explore blind and typically unable to get quests from outposts. There is one major quest hub outside of the chain, you get no rep for it and it leaves you well short of lvl 86 that you need for other quest areas.

I use the Quest Completist addon, so my maps are marked with every quest there is. It still takes a bit of running around, but it really helps to get the odd single quest out in the middle of nowhere, while keeping you from looking for quests where they just don't exist.

The "Enlightenment" buff (+50% exp) that a monk gets after finishing the class quests in Kun-Lai appears to be bugged. It ticks down to zero, but doesn't wear off until one hits a loading screen.

Edit: Nevermind, it seems it wears off eventually. It was at zero seconds remaining for about an additional hour.

It's like Neo-Dalaran! The place seems to have everything but auction npcs, but with portals to every city it's not too big of an issue. Vendors for JP/VP/Spirits of Harmony, eyc. Portals to Dal/Shat are behind me.

Saw some server 1st classes ding several seconds apart. The 1st was the 1st 90 in general, I messaged the second guy to see if he was with the 1st guy's party, he wasn't, and boy those ~10/12 seconds made him QQ

EDIT; Also just seen the Cloud Serpents for the 1st time, can't wait for those @90!
