Was embrava nerf already applied to Sauromage Burrows? Last night my group (who only goes once in a blue moon) did the wyvern boss (Assistant Research, I think?) and I applied embrava at start of the fight, then did other buffs and reapplied after 2 minutes; didn't see high regain, maybe just from adloquium.

Was it a random derp or embrava doesn't work like it does in other zones anymore?

Ah, I wasn't aware of it. Did this happen on last week's update? Probably missed the udpate notes mentioning it.

It was not mentioned in the update notes, but it was referred to in community team posts before and after the update. The one after the update may only have been on the JP side, but it was basically a confirmation of the nerf in Meeble Burrows (both old and new), and an apology that it wasn't included in the update notes.

Gonna say +1 to BtS theoretically adding another 'slot' ?

Guessing BLU+MNK+THF+WHM is enough for Samursk and Yeti, but just making sure before wasting a set.

Should be fine. I usually go BLU. Winds of promy. is great for erasing the mdef down from divesting gale (yeti). I've tried twice to stun beastruction with temporal shift and it's failed. I was using all fast cast gear though. With MACC gear + staff you could probably get it to stick. The other, more practical option for your setup, would be to run. You could have the WHM go /BLM and elemental seal stun him also. I've done that on COR/BLM a couple times, though it has been resisted once so don't rely 100% on it.

Samursk is very easy as long as you stun oblivion's mantle @25%. Temporal shift does work. Depending on reaction time of your WHM, you can kite during CS or eat it. Definitely keep barfire up. Mighty strikes is not nearly as dangerous as the legion one. Be careful of zombie from unrelenting brand. Probably best to kite until it wears off.

Edit: wiki says samursk can use oblivion's mantle "normally" under 25%, but I've personally never seen him use it more than once. It might be time based though, but unless you wipe, you should only have to stun it once. Also never seen unrelenting brand used more than once, but I've seen people's parses state otherwise.

Yeah, the biggest benefit to going anni RNG is the ability to quickly remove his shield. Since RNG won't have hate, it's much easier to WS him in the butt. I imagine it's more difficult to knock his shield off without the regain from embrava.

Wow lame. Guess we're super lucky then, though I imagine the embrava nerf would prolong the fights slightly. He usually only had time to tp 2-3 times before dying, anyway.

Additional BLU info for the giant bee guy: sudden lunge actually lands on him. In fact, sudden lunge lands on all the new bosses. He does resist pretty quick though so I'd probably save it for the doom move or something. It was nice for chainspell too.

Wish I had my chat log up but I'm pretty sure two of us got hit with mandible massacre, so I think it's conal. It was used previously and only one person got hit. He also did chainspell around 50%.

Grannus: benumbing glaze is either conal or single target, but definitely not AoE. Definitely not worth killing the adds despite their added regen. He resummons them pretty quickly. Spikes only did 69 damage with phalanx and barfira and 5 adds.

Yes, with five people we were easily able to overcome the regen and kill him, never killed any adds. Takes a few minutes to kill, just make sure you have someone either kiting the stuff or AoE sleeping it and remember they're going to wake up when Benediction happens if they're in range.

MNK and SCH was enough to kill it for me, had whm and thf(naked just for TH) mules standing by. I killed 3 of the adds and then just focused on Grannus.

Dream flower is probably your best option on most/all of these bosses as you can whirl of rage > sleep to keep them on you rather than the mages. That said, I forgot to set it for the final boss so I ended up using manifestation sleep 2 on my SCH, which worked fine too. I did AoE break before they woke up and reslept them. Died shortly after with embrava. Didn't bother with embrava for grannus, but regen v helps. You can probably super tank them too.

To the people that have cleared Batallia Downs Instructor #3 (10 self-destructs), is there a perfect job setup/strategy to use on this or is it just totally luck based?
My group consists of 3 players and 2 mules, the three times we've attempted this our setup has been PLD/RDM, MNK/RDM and SMN/RDM with the mules on WHM and BRD and we've gotten 8, 8, 9 self destructs before timing out.
Our strategy on those 3 attempts has been to immediately run to the Djinn's, claim one each and buff up with Shell/Songs/Enspells/etc while we're fighting them, take them below 50% until we feed them TP from Enspells/Nukes until they explode, we then pull some regular bombs while the Djinn's are on their repop timer.
Even when we immediately engage the Djinn's on repop we've still only had time for 2 rounds of Djinn's because they seem to take a while to self-destruct, despite being given TP from Enspells/Nukes.

I can't offer much advice aside from telling you to take them below 25% so every nuke/enspell strike forces a TP move. They should be doing TP moves back-to-back-to-back until they use Nocturnal Combustion. Perhaps take all 3 below 25 and cast T1 -ga spell (make the WHM sub BLM or something).

Not that it really matters anymore, but Samursk can extremely rarely drop Meteor scroll. There's a report of it on JP Wiki and one instance of it dropping on FFXIDB. There's also a drop instance of Arise from Umagrhk, again extremely rare (both ~1/500). Maybe an extremely rare drop from all the bosses, not sure.
