CD Projekt Red opens a new Studio in Wrocław, Poland to focus on Development
Team made up of Devs from Witcher, Dying Light, Hitman, & Dead Island
https://www.cdprojekt.com/en/media/n...t-red-wroclaw/Located in the city of Wrocław, south-western Poland, the new studio will join forces with CD Projekt RED Warsaw and Cracow, and bolster development of Cyberpunk 2077 — the upcoming futuristic AAA role-playing game.
“Wrocław is one of the biggest and most technologically advanced cities in Poland and a playing field for serious creative talent. I think the scope of our current and future projects, as well as the overall package we’re bringing in, will pull in people who were hesitant to move to Warsaw or Cracow.” — says Adam Kiciński, President and Joint CEO, CD Projekt Capital Group. “The founding dev team of CDPR Wrocław is already pretty stellar, but I still can’t wait to see what talents we’ll discover in new people along the way.” — Kiciński adds.
Consisting of 18 talented industry veterans, Wrocław-based developer, Strange New Things, will form the core of the new studio.
“We’re pretty hyped to be on the spearhead of this new office.” — says Paweł Zawodny, Head of Studio, CD Projekt RED Wrocław. “We know Wrocław inside out and it’s an amazing place to make games. The team is strong, and I’m sure we have both the experience and the creative firepower to make Cyberpunk 2077 an even better game.” — Zawodny adds.
“Aside from their immense technological knowledge and artistic flair, the core team of CD Projekt RED Wrocław are just great people.” — says Adam Badowski, Game Director for Cyberpunk 2077 and Head of CD Projekt RED. “CD Projekt RED is not a typical game developer — we put gamers, creative freedom and quality games above making business. These guys not only share this approach, but, much like the rest of the team, think that this attitude is essential to creating epic video games.” — Badowski adds.

I want this
CD Projekt Red has yet to disappoint. Hype
Impressions from close-door demo are rolling out:
https://twitter.com/Andrew_Reiner/st...13299553656837Cyberpunk 2077 is like Rockstar levels of open-world craziness. Beautiful, detailed, choice everywhere. Gunplay is wicked. Can run on walls, plant into them with blades, drop onto foes, slice their heads off. Slow time, use mods to control bots.
https://twitter.com/GI_AndyMc/status...03233807044608Cyberpunk 2077 is a seamless open world FPS RPG. The city looks crazy with impressive crowds and a clean 80’s inspired Cyberpunk vibe.
RPGSite:
Just saw a extended demo of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay and loving what I saw. First person open world RPG. Very few cutscenes, most everything is experienced from the character's PoV. The world is completely seamless. The protagonist, V, has customizable gender, skills, equipment, cosmetics. The choices made during creation are reflected in the world, and affect how characters perceive the player. Lots of cool customizable builds based on skill, equipment, play style. For instance, a eye augment paired with a wall run implant and arm equipment to anchor to high walls. In the demo shown, the player had previously hacked into the enemy Network and can now latch onto discrete areas to hack and disable weapons remotely.
damn i just wanted cyberpunk witcher, wtf
All in since the beginning
CD Project Red has tweeted saying calling it an "FPS RPG" is incorrect. It's a First-Person RPG where some of the weapons you use are guns. It's still classic RPG where levels and numbers matter.
Some of you knee jerk fuckers. CD Projekt Red has yet to let me down. I'm all in Day 0 baby.
hey guys i'm all in day 366
I'm still out since the combat is in first person perspective. I'm sure the game really will be amazing but I generally hate first person games.
woo lads what a way to go through life
Every single time I try to play an acclaimed first person game I put it down after maybe 30 minutes. Bioshock? Not for me. Fallouts? Nope. Eventually these games go on super cheap steam sales and I give them a shot, and while I fully admit they are fantastic games I just can't do it. It just feels offputting to me to play in first person when I'm sitting back staring through a screen. The one way I have found I do enjoy these games is in VR because then I actually do feel like i'm in the middle of the action.
Given all this and the fact that I do eventually try all the ones people rave about and still can't do it I see no reason why this isn't a valid opinion.
Now if they release cyberpunk in full VR with actual good controls (I'm looking at you skyrim) then omg yes I am absolutely all in.
Fallout and Elder Scrolls can be played in 3rd Person, they just handle better in 1st.
